Liverpool at The Lane, first game of the season

Next years fixtures are out already, and we’ve got a tricky first game against Liverpool at home on 15th August. My first impressions of the fixtures are not good. We face Manchester United and Chelsea one after the other in September, and then at the end of the season we face Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester in a row, which will prove fatal for our final league position. Our first Derby with Arsenal is away on 31st of October, a Halloween treat for us all hopefully. Fixtures will obviously be subject to change once Sky have decided what games they are going to show, but we already have 5 mid week matches. Three at home against Man City, Tues 15th Dec, West Ham, Tues 28th Dec, and Fulham, Tues 26th Jan, and the two away are against Hull, Tues 18th Aug, and Wolves Tues Feb 9th. I can’t believe the fixtures are out already, which means we only have two months left now until the season starts again.

Any of those three would be an amazing addition to our squad, but I can’t see us getting all three of them. Personally, I rate Robben, whether or not he’ll come back to London to play for one of his ex-team’s rivals is another matter. It would be a beautiful occasion to see him put a couple past Chelsea at The Bridge to end our drought though.

So there we have it, you can spend your free time checking out the fixtures already and planning what games your going to see. Saturday the 10th of April against Arsenal at home has to be my pick of the season.
