Im no ITK, however I did call Parker to Fulham at the beginning of last week. I have heard a strong word that we are trying to bring in Ba on loan, maybe this will be a Levy deadline day special?

I guess it would save us money bringing in another striker and we could offload Adebayor. Where did you hear this though?

Off a mate, only ever told me one thing before and that was that Fulham made a late bid to sign parker, and that was last Monday, just sounded plausible to me if we are spending money on a attacking winger.

So, we would swap one off-form striker with another who have an add-onn in form of explosive knee. Not a wise deal if you ask me.

On the other hand if it’s true it isn’t ITK if recent events are anything to go by.

Demba Ba has been very lucky so far not to have his knee explode into bits.

Who wants to bet Spurs will be the club that luck runs out?

Well it’s the same reason I never wanted us to invest in him in previous windows….I suppose it’s a little less tenuous if it’s a loan though. Frankly I much rather have that ticking time bomb knee(s) dumped in another club on a permanent basis; the spammers and the porno kings are ripe for a hustle.

Still if that happens mid season that leaves us short a striker because I assume this would come with a sale. I’d rather buy a true back up who’s a prospect then loan Ba.

The way I see it he would only ever play if either both Soldado and Defoe are injured or in Cup games against lower opposition, if it allowed us to offload Adebayor without having to fork out for a replacement this Summer it doesn’t seem that silly, the £8m or whatever we get for Ade might be the difference between making a CB signing or not.

I see your point, but I still wouldn’t go for it. Just wouldn’t. I still think that our line-up needs a striker who can lead the line, so I am not so sure that Ade is our third choice for sure.At least in some situation he might be second choice, and to have Spanish striker who just came to PL as first choice, and Ba as second choice… I don’t feel it would be good idea.

But if you put it that way that there is no difference between small forwards and big forwards -then we have Kane on the bench, who scored a hattrick in U21 game, maybe he could get some opportunities. And if Bale stays, why not play him right at the top, he’s strong fast and has impressive ball control… Just in case Kane doesn’t cut it. Right now money (at least sum like 8 millions) don’t seem to be a problem, cause this year we still haven’t spent the profit from last two seasons transfer dealings + we have the TV money + some speculations about Lewis giving money in order to become title contenders…

Osvaldo was my first choice as a backup. Vucinic is second. If we get a good offer for Adebayor and absolutely can’t get anyone else, then I’d rather take a chance on Ba than go into the season with only Defoe and Soldado. His knee is obviously a major concern and with our luck it would almost certainly blow up in our face. But if it’s just a loan and we only need him to be 2nd choice, then I’d take the risk. We may not need him, but if we do he can get hot and hit six or eight goals in a ten match stretch…

I definitely think Kane deserves a go, I hope he at least plays this Thursday. I’ve always thought Bale would be good up front, in theory it seems like a good idea but I doubt AVB would ever try it.

Don’t get me wrong I would love for us to go out and get another striker but I think our priority should be to get Willian/Lamela or someone of the like then a 4th choice CB and then another forward, I know AVB said we are still looking at more players but I just can’t see all those happening with what little time we have left.

I totally agree that our top priority should be one new defender and then some more creativity (for example in form of Eriksen or Willian), and that is exactly why I wouldn’t waste my energy on that swap.

And I still believe that Ade is okay second choice striker. What’s more – we have Defoe and Kane also, so I would really forget the strikers and focus on other departments. But of course, that’s just my point of view :) .

Agreed, if the window ended with us signing Willian/Eriksen/Pjanic and another CB like Chiriches I’d be perfectly happy.

I’m sure good ol Ledley can give some advice on some knee remedy techniques for Demba.

On a serious note if we do take him on loan, hes a good back up option, I would not a permanent thou.

All depends if Rooney goes to Chelski

If Its a loan.. he can be sent back if he is injured right ? an I certainly wouldn’t mind taking a chance by signing him for 5-6M..anything to not have defoe starting for us in any match

Haven’t we all mate haven’t we all? There are many poor sufferers of ENS (Exploding Knee Syndrome) and we should all be doing our bit to help them. SPOK (The Society for Prevention Of Exploding Knees) needs your donations now to help stop knees from exploding – you can send me the money and I will pass it on to them. One day it could be you, walking down the road whistling a jolly tune when KAPOW – your knees have exploded!

There is talk on twitter from DI Marzio demba Ba may go to Roma if lamela comes to us. They are waiting for a replacement before Roma sell to us.
