    College Basketball.

Its the tournament at the end of the year that decides the champion. Even if you don't have any interest in basketball it's pretty fun to fill out the brackets and predict the winner. It's an office past-time all across America. It's sort of like the FA Cup, everyone has a shot to win it. Though like the FA Cup the majority are long shots. But unlike the FA Cup you aren't just winning the cup, but the entire league.

It's nuts because college sports really is where the passion is in American sports, which makes the nickname March Madness appropriate.

My two teams are USC (Alum) and UNLV (Because I live here).

USC need to win the Pac-10 tournament to get in. Probably won't happen.

UNLV are a projected 8 seed right now. They aren't as good as they've been in past years.

I looks like your Aggies are projected as a 6 seed right now.

my spartans are really making it difficult to get picked this year. i think they will though, just due to the name, even if they were blown out at home (dont remind me) to purdont today. if we win out and make a decent run in the big10 tourney we'll be fine.

I'll go for UNLV. Primarily because we went there way back in 2008, and we were able to "sneek" in to one of their practice sessions:

On a side note and in relation to UNLV, I found this (as an Englishman) pretty amusing:

In particular the part where Soliciting is prohibited.

Can you just imagine how distracting it is if you're studying for an exam and a woman comes up to you offering sex for sale? Now I know why that rule is in place :302:

What other city would have to stipulate those rules on their library? What a town...

University of Louisville hopefully can get there act together and played like they did against Pitt. If they can do that and ship that male cheerleader to another sport then Cards got a good chance of Final four. :)

WTF!! Tough break for Louisville. Fouled on a 3 pointer in their own half, WV hits the free throws and wins the game.

haha since i been on 3rd shift i had the game recorded. usually i do extra 15-30 minutes to catch all of it. not this time though. i missed like the last 3 minutes of that game because of all that ticky-tack foul BS those ref's were calling this game. >_< don't mind the loss as much though since UofL had the 3rd in the Big East win or lose.

Did anyone predict Arizona beating Duke (defending champs)?

    Is Jimmer Fredette over-hyped?

Yes, a few people on the ESPN bracket picked them over Duke

dont follow basketball all that much, and dont watch any NBA but I think he'll do alright in it when he gets drafted.

I'm an Arizona alumn and it is fooking awesome. Revenge for 2001 and great to see us back in the mix of things post-lute olsen.

Also my buddy won $720 on the game, so he was pretty sure of it.

Yeah, that is what someone told me the other day. Guess he got a lot of stick for it from the other commentators.

He is ridiculous. We all knew he was one of the best in the country, but no one had any idea he would turn out to be this good. He has had 3 game winning defensive blocks this year, not to mention his many other clutch performances (including the end of the Texas game). And those two dunks against Duke were lebron-esque. Lets see if the rest of the team can hold it together and get us to the final four.
