i might have just completely lost it here guys lol! but hey, hear me out...

sandro would man mark the danger man up front.
gallas would mop up any mess left behind.
corluka and ekotto would sit wide but would tuck in when needed - tracking back by wingers required
huddlestone would sit between goal line and the half way line - going forward on occasion.
lennon and bale would sit wide as normal - track back as normal
    modric would control as normal
    rafael would create as normal
the unknown would be on the end of everything

Sandro likes to get forward too much so it would leave Thudds and Gallas too open... wouldn't work.

I don't think you'll see much more than a straight 4 at the back for some time yet... remember the two full backs now act as secondary wingers, so if its more options in attache you are looking for with these formations 4 at the back already provides that more than this formation...

would love a team with sandro, huddlestone, modric, lennon, bale and rafael all in it. that only leaves 4 out field places left and a keeper though. maybe it's impossible

Lol with Dawson as flying goalkeeper if he is in the box he can take the ball with hands hehe.To your first formation it's more a 3-6-1 and i would put rafael as your unknown player and instead rafael kranjcar, then we are playing a 3-7-0 it really indicates which part of our team is the best and which one is the weakest link, hope that will change in the transfer window.I think the best formation for Tottenham is 4-5-1 or 4-4-2 would be perfect if we sign a quality striker. In the system 4-5-1,the only striker would be Defoe, because I think he can't have such a bad season as the last one was.

QUite frankly, we're more likely to see Harry playing this next season:

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    VDV -- Lennon -- Pienaar -- Jenas -- Thudd -- Sandro -- Modric -- Parker -- Niko -- Bale

    --------------------------------------------- Crouch ---------------------------------------------
