Got my Bremen ticket through the post today (£45 cheeky gits...)

Never been to Bremen, anyone know the place and suggest good spot to meet for beers?

i've never been to bremen before, but a friend told me some good pubs.

First there's "Paddy's Pit". It's at the Central Train Station in Bremen and some kind of Irish Pub. I think we'll meet there, drink some Guiness or Kilkenny and then march on to the stadium. There's also a pub called "Gleis 11" at the Central Station. Along the river "Weser" there are some pubs, too.

Best to also check in with the english board on the Bremen forum here:

English Board - Werder Bremen Forum

I'm sure you'll easily find a lot of good fans that'll happily show you around town and go drinking with you, and help you avoid the Ultra-groups that may just leave you face-down in a shallow ditch and use your arse as a bicycle stand ("No officer, this is not a Tottenham fan, it's a bicycle stand I imported from England! Quite posh...")

(just kidding, that only happens in Hamburg, we're a friendly lot)

(We usually use road bikes and not offroad bikes, so it won't be the knobby tires, don't worry)
