Just not confident in our defense at the moment - Sanchez Alde pairing and Lloris brain snaps.

    And that was a pen!

Is it just me or are we really selfish in the attacking third?

    Lay it off for FFS

We just don't have enough quality on the ball. Cute little passes, movement, close control. Barca showed us what that looks like. This is labored and clumsy. When we score, it's almost in spite of ourselves.

Assuming we hang on for the 3pts, it’s amazing we are sitting 3rd in the league with our best haul of points after 8 games in premier league history, and we have been pretty crap the entire season....good times ahead????

    Probably Mike Dean haha.

I think the Wembley Curse is real. Except that it doesn't involve winning or losing, but instead it is about injuries.

That was a woeful game. Positives: we won. Negatives: we didn't really deserve to win

There is a weird paradox that occurs when teams get a red. They somehow become more defensively resilient.

Offensively we're looking a bit like United, not really lost but just not effective or efficient.

Don't want to slate Sanchez because I don't think he did much wrong today, but I do believe he is having a harder time this season. His decision making skills are certainly being put to the test and now often than not I feel he is overcommitting unnecessarily. The latter vulnerability is what got him exposed against Saurez and Messi numerous times.

I feel Lucas and Son had decent games but their shooting could use some work because if we're not going to beat teams through creativity then we need some of our chances outside of the box to go in.

Fullbacks had a good game today, I lost count of how many nutmegs they each had. It helped that they had the freedom to stay up in attack most the game.

Happy to see Lamela is not injured and was just cramped up against Barca and Sissoko had a good game as well in my opinion. He definitely has low confidence which is normal considering everything that surrounds him, but there are some times I wish he would just have a whack at goal. That is something I wish all our midfielders did more though. I know their job is to get the ball to the dangerous attacking players we have, but seriously gets on my tits seeing them pass up good shooting chances for a five yard pass or something.

What a wretched performance that was. They do say its a good sign when you can play poorly and still win. I say, its a good job we were only playing f##king Cardiff.
Usually hate the Int. break. But if it helps get some of our players back from injury, then thank god for it. Not gonna get too down on em, I mean we won ffs. But it was pretty poor.
Not to single any one out, no one played great. But I don't think I've ever seen a player look so freaked out when they have the ball, than Sissoko. Its like hes playing football with a f##king grenade. Sanchez worries me also, his positioning is still poor, and at times looks unaware of where he is on the pitch.

But we did win the game, we got the 3pts, and up to 3rd in the table.........COYS!!

Our midfield of WInks and Dier looked much better today. I think Winks looks good when he stays aggressive. Front line just couldn't put passes together. They looked exhausted.

Just back after taking my grandson to his first Spurs game. I had to tell him that there's usually much more noise. I''ve never heard the crowd so quiet. Probably completely p'd off with the crab-like football we play nowadays. Certainly a lot of discontent around me. Still, another 3 points. COYS,

There were a bunch of exciting tap and go combinations in the attacking third today. We were pretty unlucky with the finishing imo.

Sanchez is extremely one footed. He was totally lost against Barca until they swapped him to the right cb spot.

Unfortunately I think that applies to a good amount of our players. Off the top I think Rose, Lamela, and Lloris are the worst offenders. Obviously still great players.

On a side note I have been reading the post match ratings over at ESPN a lot and I feel that sometimes the correspondent are not even watching the same game. So I am interested in how you guys would score our players and manager this evening.

Don’t know about individual scores but as a team the press will slate that performance, some fans will slate it, and the so called “expert” pundits will tear it to shreds....but at the end of the day we won, tomorrow evening we will be either 4 or 2 points of the league leaders, how? Fcuk if I know, but we can’t argue with the league table....
And by some miracle we have done this suffering from World Cup fatigue, a serious amount of injuries, not buying a single player in the summer, and playing some of the worst football we have played in 6 years (imagine if we had put Watford to bed early in the game) we would be top of the league, at least for tonight.....
We can’t continue in this form for much longer tho or we will suffer, we have to start clicking sooner rather than later, and that might come with injuries clearing up and getting players match fit.
Remember September was pre season for a lot of players!!
Another 8 games from now I’d love to be sitting top of the tree, if only to shut the anti Spurs media up for a while...

We are not as good as last season by a long way , but I also think some players have peaked and are now seriously overrated .
