Cant see it, hes English and therefore will be stupidly overpriced, therefore expect Liverpool to make a £90m offer and secure his services.

Agree that I cannot blame him getting pissed off at the circus in West London

I don't blame him, but I doubt he'd come our way. Being English, he'll be massively overpriced compared to foreign talent.
I can fully understand being pissed off if that waste of space Torres is being picked ahead of him.

I'm a massive fan of sturridge. welbeck and sturridge have both started to show there true potential this season.

problem is as mentioned already. the reason he is unhappy is torres keeps getting picked as lead striker and has 2 goals and 4 assists in 1200 mins of play time whereas sturridge coming in off the right side has 9 and 4 assists with 1400 mins (prem). he wants to take the lead strike spot so if he moved to us he would want the same. if adebayor isnt staying then im all for it. he is prem proven and can only get better (unless he pulls a fernando). plays a different role to ade upfront but could be lethal with our 5 man midfield feeding him the ball and he does seem to have a good work rate from what ive seen of him.

wouldnt be to shabby in a few years time (or right away if needs be lol)

No chance. All he does is ask for better contracts wherever he is. There is a ceiling lad and you've just about hit it at Chelsea (after coming from Man citeh???).

Although I highly doubt this would happen, it's bloody refreshing to be linked with another top club's top players, rather than have our best players linked to other top clubs in England.

They'll probably just ask for any deal to include Modric in some shape or form.

Besides, I think we can do better in all honesty. Also, I'm not sure he's the type of striker we need.

Not that we'd ever get him but he's not even the kind of player we need, I'm not really sure on his ability to lead the line himself, but he's a damn good player when used in a 4-3-3

I'd take him to play on the right, he has looked really good there and I can't see him playing the lone striker role we need.

He won't come to Spurs. Rivalry, money, the hangover from Modricgate, etc etc. If it's about nothing but money, he'll be at City, Malaga, Anzhi, PSG, or some place like that. If it's about respectable wages + playing time, Liverpool seems the most likely.

I'd rather have Drogba for a season or two anyway.

Drogba is Harry's sort of player.. Get them near retiring age.. Then find a youthful instinct like their mid 20's for a season or two before selling on.. All about his man management..

Sturridge is overrated, just like Rooney. They are good players but no where near as good as people think they are. At least Rooney has awesome workrate but Sturridge...

Sturridge is a 8-12 million pound player and you'd prob have to treple that to get near him. One good season (or half a season tbh) just doesn't justify it for me! Keep well away from that mercenary and get Remy or Damiao in.

He's a good player. But as said before, he'll have a huge price tag, young and English and at a rival. Rather Remy or Llorente in my humble opinion. But I trust Harry to make the right decision (that's after he's made the right decision to stay with Spurs)

His position is fairly specialized, it would be hard to fit him into any of our first team line ups. He isn't hard working enough to play on the right and too selfish to play on his own at centre forward. That forward right position suits him at chelsea, he won't find a top team better suited to him.

Didn't he have a fight with the City management when he was there?

Don't think he will come to us. We wanted him last Jan but Chelsea refused.

I really hope that we will sign Sturridge! In our 4-4-1-1 would be perfect, but I think it's not easy to come in the other side of London, not everyone is as Gallas! :D

Isn't Sturridge a boyhood Arsenal fan? Can't see it happening myself, that factor may come into play and if he is unhappy at Chelsea, I think it's more likely for him to go to the red side of north London on personal preference. Still money talks though

The Metro are saying we're after Sturridge, but they're also claiming Rafa is "desperate" to return to Germany and Schalke's representatives are due in London this week for talks. I'm secretly hoping (and with the Metro this would be well within the realms of possibility) that they've heard Schalke are sending reps to Spurs for talks and The Metro have connected the dots and assumed it is in regards to Rafa leaving but it is actually in relation to Huntelaar coming to Spurs!

Anyway, I've always rated Sturridge. I wanted him at Spurs when he was 1st leaving City but, by all accounts, his wage demands were ridiculous. Unless those have lowered, and with him being at Chelsea I cannot believe they have. Also, whilst he might be a little miffed not being played by Di Matteo, he's still a young, 'homegrown' English player with heaps of potential & I can't imagine Chelsea wanting to let that go too easily, especially if we won't sell them Modric
