No woody or ledders, good news for us although a little bizarre if you ask me, Jenas and Bentley in.
For about 10 days we will have another clash Croatia-England that game will be on fire....Be careful of Modric
You will stuff us
Bentley and Modric both to go in for a tackle and injure each other.
no michael owen in the squad i know hes not fully fit but hes still knocking them in from the bench
Its ridiculous, no Ashley Young either, one of the most in form attacking players in england, and naturally left sided. Capello has no chahunas as I have said before, trotting out the same old under achieving names and paying no attention to current form.
it could well be another summer in 2 years time without england in a major tournament
I would have Ashley Young in my team ANYDAY! Come on Capello, I thought you were supposed to be good at this!
Gerrard's injured, Lampard's turd, there's plenty of room in the midfield at the mo & Young not playing is a crime!
TBH Gerrard has repeatedly failed to impress me at international level for some time now. I'd have Joe Cole, Young, Bentley & Barry/Hargreaves starting personally.
certainly cant see us getting a hatful against andorra lucky to get 3
Firstly I couldnt give two f**ks about the England team been let down by them far too many times, if Beckham is in that squad again then i cringe at that selection!!
Jenas in again is a joke but the plus side is no Woody or King now that is good news.
Erm... was just watching SSN and they said Woodgate isn't in the team because he's injured. :dontknow: :questionmark::questionmark:
So true, i gave up on international football now. Just hope my yid army don't let me down this year.
Did that fat boy get picked again?:banghead:
Honestly, when he plays well for Chavski, he is then ****e for England. When he plays utter bollocks for Chavski, he still gets picked?
I thought Capello would be different, guess not...
As for Woodgate he was supposedly injured for the Czech game (why he didn't train with England) but still played for us. I wouldn't look too much into that.
I so hope so from the bottom of my heart
And "gief" da silva back already....
Heskey(Donkey) in for Owen. Well when is England going to get a good manager. Its just a joke where the loughing stock off the world
Last time Heskey played he was awesome!!!
Biffed the oposition off the park and held up play untill the midfielderd could support him.
He isnt the best finisher in the world true but he has bagged a few already this season and his strength up front will always cause problems.
Owen is finished!!! 2 games then on the treatment table for a month.
im so happy that ledders and wooders were left out gives them time to work on their conditioning..... when we restart the season they will be in tiptop condition
Mates, get used to Capello's style of managing... we here in Italy saw him a lot! He does not trust in young players until they can really convince him...
He would pick Bryan Robson if possible... but anyway he won so many trophies that surely he is right... hope he will finish his career with one last trophy in 2010 !
So the question still remains, how many croats could play in england's NT.
Fabio Capello is the right man, says Harry Redknapp | International Football - Times Online
Harry Redknapp: “We played the Czech Republic, and how many of them would get in the England team? Even Croatia – I think we can beat Croatia – how many players have they got who would get near our team?"
Let me hear your opinions...
Those that I would consider having a decent chance.....
Not sure about the two strikers, but really? Are England's any better?!
The big difference is England's players are overpaid and believe much of the hype that says they're better than they really are - certainly as a team. When they earn the oodles of cash and gain the massive celebrity status with which they're endowed, I seriously question their level of commitment to the cause when playing for the national team. Yes, really I do. Certainly when you compare it to - say ten or fifteen years ago.
I just get the feeling that the Croatian players - to use one example - have greater pride to play for their national team than is the case with England.
Probably plenty that disagree, but that's my view.
So you've basically just listed entire croatian first eleven bar goalkeeper. Oh wait, I've just seen you haven't included rakitic (he had an impressive euro campaign)...
Oversight on my part.
Would pick their starting eleven over our starting eleven any day...would include Bilic as coach as well!
If they were English, then no, they probably wouldn't get a call, not atleast all of them. That doesn't mean they won't be better. The players called up for England quite clearly don't work, I agree with what funster said as one of the main reasons for this. Yet cabbage face keeps picking those same ones over and over, bar 1 or 2, who usually only get 10minutes anyway.
I remember last year when Ronney said none of Croatian players could posibly play for England....
And we all reamember what was happening in Zagreb
Of course they couldn't, they play for a successful team!
the question u should be asking is would any of them WANT to play for england!! and im sure we all know the answer to that one!
Woohoo! I managed to be quick enough and bought 3 tickets online
I can't wait for the game..
tho I dont belive that we will have it so easy this time vs England
personally wouldent bet against it.
most england players see playing for england as an obstacle to overcome during the season now-days unfortunatly :banghead:
Really hope that Bentley plays, he is WAY better than Beckham. And yes, i am also sick (as well as bored) of watching England play, ive got enough to worry about as it is, for example, supporting Spurs, lol.
