Who do you think will be the first three names on the team sheet against Real Madrid? Excluding goalkeeper.

I think it will be :-

Dawson
Assou Ekotto & Corluka (as we have no other players in either position)
Sandro

I really think in the past few weeks Sandro has showed his class and why he deserves a chance to play against possible the best team in the world.

Crouch (always in CL)
Dawson
BAE

You can pretty much predict the starting 11

Gomes
Charlie Dawson Bassong BAE
Lennon Sandro Modric Bale
Van Der Vaart
Crouch

Only changes will be down to injuries and will be Gallas for Bassong & Piennar for Bale.

Sandro has pretty much been the one shining light of late. Excellent spot by our scouts.

What about VDV? Think he has something to prove and is saving himself for this game.
Though will probably get sent off!!

Modric is A #1 in my mind. He makes us go.

Lineup will look exactly as Fatboyyid says, barring further injury.

Its getting even tougher now, and its possible that Kranjcar could start. Steven Piennar is out of the game (having announced it on his twitter) and if Bale isn't fit I dont see another option. Modric just isn't the same on the wing and I dont think Thudd will be risked seeing as he has just got back from injury and hasn't played a propper game in 4 months.

May not be a bad call, because Niko is the sort of player that can also produce something out of nothing which is usually what it takes to win games like this - like Lennon against Milan.

We will need pace against Real to stand any sort of chance. Tomorrow will all be about counter attacking so if Bale is not fit (all media reports suggest he will be) don't be suprised if Rose starts ahead of Niko.

Still stands on it's own merit. He has no equal or even rival at the club.

Most influential by miles.

Without a shadow of a doubt for me, Modric. He is THE player that takes our game to a world class level with consistency. Bale, van der Vaart, Lennon, etc, are all superb but every once in a while they underperform. Modric, however, is always there among the best (as long as he doesn't have to play left wing :s).

as we will defend a lot I expect a defender or goalkeeper to win the award.
