Apparently Hugo Lloris is interested in talking to us about a move..
Read all about it.

Lloris is a good goalkeeper. The headline (SAF may lose 15m euros target) is a bit misleading - I thought the De Gea deal is pretty much done and dusted, despite what has been said publicly.

I'd take either him or Stekelenburg. That would do nicely.

Yes that is exactly what I thought. I was pleaseantly surprised that it was Lloris when I opened the link. He is a top keeper and is still very young. I do recall us being linked to us before he joined Lyon from Nice so maybe he is ready for us this time.. I don't think so though unfortunately.

De Gea to United is still not 100% & Lloris is definitely liked by Fergie, so I can see where the article is coming from, but it still looks near certain that De Gea will end up at Old Trafford & I would deffo take Lloris at the Lane. At his best, he's superb and he is consistently very good. He's also very young for a goalkeeper who has around 25 caps for his country

However, all he has said is that he "will not close the door to anyone", which clearly does not specify Spurs.

Regardless of what that link says (almost as bad as goal.com) I cant see us getting Lloris. If we somehow get him then well done Harry & Levy but I'm not confident of landing him. I rate Stekelenburg a bit higher than Lloris so if we can get him for less money (which could well happen) then I'd rather go after him.

Lloris is a very good goalkeeper! I take him before Foster, Gomes, Given anytime!

Lloris is probably a bit better than Stekelenburg but not a noticeable or big difference. I just don't see him coming here, though. Stekelenburg would be the better business option and I think would work better here, Lloris is headed for a big big club if he leaves Lyon.

Sorry, but Lloris is miles better than Stekelenberg imo. Stekelenberg is a decent shot-stopper too but he is not nearly as good at controlling his area as Lloris & neither is he as consistent.

I must admit to not seeing too much of Stekelenberg this season tho, so maybe he's improved that in his game - it is the season in which Ajax won their League (altho Stekelenberg dropped the trophy under the bus, which ain't a great sign!!)

I've watched Lloris for years though & the guy always impresses me. He is so vocal too. Gomes just doesn't talk to his defenders nearly enough but Lloris s always on their backs and, the second he sees his defence in trouble, he is SO quick off his line - another issue I have with Gomes.

Remember that Ireland game? No, I guess most of us have erased it from our memory banks, lol! Anyway, Lloris was the only decent thing about France that day. He was simply awesome.

I really, really hope that we are interested. I love Gomes even despite his hap-hazardness, but if we were to bring in someone of Lloris's calibre then I can only get excited by the prospect:

If I am honest I didn't really proof read it before I posted the link. I am nearly as bad as goal.com. Lazy journalism. lol. We will be linked with every keeper out there. I keep Hearing Stekelenburg yet I am still waiting to see any thing that looks in anyway remotely like us being even realistically interested, never mind making a bid. Every thread in the transfer forum is nothing more than speculation. Fact. There are worse keepers to be connected with than Hugo Lloris no matter how poor the website.

Yeah , well, if it is worth remembering for anything it's the performance Lloris put in that day :)

Lyon need money and have not won a cup in a long time, although I do not really believe Lloris would come to us.....I would still love us to try, he would be absolutely brilliant and I would be ecstatic if we signed him...

But basskadet .... Is he 6 or 7 million better than Stekelenburg? I'd rather have Stekelenburg for 8 than Lloris for 12-15.

Google Tottenham Stekelenburg, there are plenty of links there to see our interest.

Lloris or Stekelenburg would be amazing signings.

I said ages ago that the 3 keepers I'd replace Gomes with were Lloris, De Gea or Stekelenburg so with De Gea out of the picture I'd like one of the other two.

But Lloris wouldn't be seen as a back up to Gomes. Unless of course you believe we aren't going to sell Gomes at all. In which case you are probably right.

Lloris would be a fantastic signing. solid as a rock and gives his defenders plenty of guidance.. thats exactly what Dawson needs during a game.

guys, LLoris will cost us 20 million. No way lyon will let him go for less. He's not a prospect like pjanic, He's one of the best in the world, if not the best, and i'd say he'll cost us more than 20 actually. Imagine it'd be like buying a cassillas level goalie, minus say 5 million loyalty pounds.

indeed. We need to go for less developed talent, i.e terstegan or such. lloris is already too world class, and loves lyon too much to leave. he gonna finish his career there.
