Fazio's no particular thorn in my side.... Considering the specific thread title, I can't say "I really wish we'd sell" anyone atm... It's a pretty zen place to be for a Spurs Fan when you think about it! lol
We've not seen or heard from Fazio all season. He's worthless sitting around, or worse - he's losing value by not being played. Let's sell him for whatever anyone will buy him for and let's move on. This idea of hanging onto players just because there's a particular price tag attached to them about some possible value is ridiculous because a player is only worth what that tag if they are generating value on the pitch or someone actually pays to take their contract, otherwise it's just fantasy numbers.
I really wish Fazio goes. Not because i do not like him, but i feel bad for him.
Captain of a Sevilla side that won the Euro Cup, and its gone down since his move to spurs. I think its the doing of our transfer philosophy and tactics than him. He hasnt even complained so far, and i think poch should let him go to rejuvenate his career.
With fazio officially out (via loan), i really dont see anyone i want sold. If anything, we need to buy now. CB, striker x2 (established, young. SB, MD2)
Yeah, we don't need to sell anyone at this point. Great that the deadwood is finally gone. Personally I wouldn't mind a loan for one of Winks/Onomah, but that's about it.
Pointless selling Vorm.....
Won't get a better back-up... Especially, if as suggested, part of Hugo's agreement is that he'll play as much as poss in cups.
I have a feeling Luke McGee might get promoted and take Vorm's place in the team.
McGee seems to be a good young keeper who could learn a lot from Hugo if he becomes his understudy.
Mason (not just because of yesterday)
Fazio - loan
Chriches - loan
Carroll - not sure if he's being released
Those 6 along with maybe Vorm (depends on McGee's progress)
They are the players that for me are not good enough to help take our club forward, I'm sure not everyone will agree but for me they have to be moved on.
You want us to loan out a Napoli player?
Isn't he there on loan, I wasn't aware we sold him permanently
Nope, he's long gone.
We only loaned him for the season. He is still with us and Sevilla dont look interested in buying him this summer.
Report: Sevilla not interested in permanent deal for Tottenham Hotspur loanee Federico Fazio
Just release him, cut our losses with him. I don't want to see him a Spurs shirt again.
They were talking about Chiriches not Fazio although yes we still do need to find someone who wants Fazio... Sunderland maybe?
they were talking about Vlad.
but you`re right about fazio!!
haha. whoops, sorry about that.
so the outs?
the obvious one would be Federico Fazio. Surely his time is spent in London this summer? It's a shame as in the air he was pretty good. Not so sure aboot the rest of his game though lol!
After which, it's not soo easy. Tom Carroll is reportedly out of contact (not that I think that is true knowing Levy but still, it's what is being reported). He's a tidy player, good on the ball and has a lot of smoothness to his game. Having said that, we could well see him playing for Middlesbrough next season.
Nabil Bentaleb, as I've said in another thread, will have a monster season this coming term. At 21 years old, it would be a good idea to see how he develops, especially having seen him sign a new five year contract last summer.
Nacer Chadli, at the tender age of 27. Is he a potential 'cash in' player this summer? WIth Clinton N'Jie, Alex Pritchard, Josh Onomah, Nathan Oduwa, all waiting in the wings, it could well be time to give some of the younger lads a shot. To be fair though, he has delivered on many occasions, being somewhat let down by his defensive side.
Ryan Mason. Like with Bentaleb, Mason signed a new five year contract last summer. He wears his heart on his sleeve and plays for the shirt (not his wallet). Lads like him are important to have around the place, not speaking solely aboot football talent here.
OK, so Fazio, Chadli and Carroll would be what I would put forward.
Now the guy clearly wants out.
And it could be very good addition, I mean something like Scott Parker purchase.
Not for 10 years and not quite Lionel Messi, no blistering sell-on fee, but could certainly add quality. This would be some serious depth if we would have Eriksen, Alli, Son, Lamela, Payet, N'Koudou, Sissoko for 3 places...
Another question is - do we want to risk with bringing in player who starts whining in previous club and don't want to play for his homeclub...
Payet is a non-starter for me.
He's on higher wages than anyone we have (about 115k p/week), has a stinking attitude and West Ham would insist on a massive fee from us or any other PL side.
Be honest, it would never happen!
We need to sign him first before we can sell him again (see the title of this thread).
I know he is on loan now but we really dont need Janssen and unfortunatelly Llorente cause its panic buy .(Sadly before i was so excited to have him )
I think it's way too early to make a call on Llorente. He's been good when we've used him, which hasn't been very often.
not sure if i would say "good". Serviceable, i would say though
I believe the problem lies with his team mates. When he comes on they don't change their way of playing to play to his strengths. He isn't HK - he has no pace and he needs crosses into the box to show his worth.
IF (and it is remarkable if) this is the case then sell him as fast as theoretically possible.
Llorente is nowhere near of the player that the teammates should change their gameplan/approach for.
But I have my serious doubts that Poch expects it. Harry is not a speed demon either. I believe Llorente is more deployed as a target man. Which is a role that Jannsen was able to fullfill equally well.
Currently it seems to me that we could easily sell N'Koudou (I mean Poch has not trusted him at all, I think he is not in his plans in the future).
