    Michy Batshuayi

Anybody familiar with him? He's a young Belgian striker with loads of talent. Seems Swansea tried to get him for $5M but was denied. Seems to be he could fit right in as a backup to Soldado and give us a young striker with a bright future. Plus, he'd have some fellow Belgians to help him grow up and improve.

    Thoughts?

Good talent. He's quick, strong and skillful.

On the other hand, he doesn't really live like a professional. He played in the youth ranks at Anderlecht and FC Brussels, but ended up at Standard where he broke through two years ago.

I think it's better for him to play in Belgium another year, but at 19 years old, he's already one of the best strikers in the Jupiler Pro League.

(Standard have another 19-year old prospect too: Ghanian striker Imoh Ezekiel, not as skillful al Batshuayi but quick as fcuk)

Fun fact: Batshuayi was thrown out of the national U21s a couple of months ago, because he ordered some callgirls in the hotel with his roommate.

    (apologies for the double post)

I Rather see we invest some money in Youth. Can't Glenn Hoddle set up a youth institute. With Ajax old club sratues do this. Its this way or get some Rusian or Arab take over the club with xxxxxxxxx cash.

Hope I'm not over-stepping my boundaries here, but I've seen this done in multiple other forums, and seeing the Kagawa thread it looks like people don't really know where to post about players we might not be connected to or that have any real transfer speculations with anyone else, but are still players they're impressed with and want to share their opinions on with others.

So basically this is a place to talk about any player that comes to mind, no matter how big or small, that you really like and wish was wearing the glorious white shirt.

Obviously just name dropping would be unproductive so it'd be best to explain a bit more as to why - maybe what kind of player is he, or why and how he'd fit and help the club etc, after stating the name. Just a suggestion though.

Feel free to edit the name of the thread as you see fit, or delete if this is a bad idea.

Let me kick start this then -

If there's 1 under the radar guy I REALLY love, and hope we manage to bring him on if we sell Adebayor and/or Defoe and are in need of a striker - It's Marco Sau from Cagliari.

He's just so full of class and ability. Probably the most underrated player in the Serie A right now imo. Maybe not the strongest which is the biggest concern - but he is just a brilliant player with almost anything you want out of a striker - shooting ability, dribble, technique, creativity, speed and quickness.

I really really hope he's on some of our scouts notes somewhere. I think he would be a big hit in the EPL.. he's really a diamond in a rough atm - he reminds me of Giuseppe Rossi, maybe more a box striker then him, but very similar in quality I think.

A lot of people are sleeping on this kid. I'd pay 10 million euro for him without hesitation.

A LB to replace Benny, ideally Luke Shaw or Coentrao
A CB - looks like Vlad will tick that box
A ST to replace Ade, i want his wages gone. Even if its Damiao.
2 winger/play-a-makers with Lennon being sold. Lamela and Hulk?

The only issue with Sau is his size but he reminds me of someway of Di Natale. In fact if he stays in Italy he'll probably take Toto's mantle as he winds down his career. It's one of those players the football community at large are unaware of but everyone in Italy knows that's a danger man. I'd have him in the Azzurri over Giovinco but Prandelli doesn't listen to me.

Offload Ade and pick up Lorenzo Insigne from Napoli, he's small but quick and could play pretty much anywhere up top. Plus at 22 he could become a huge factor for us in time.

Marco Fabian, pretty much unheard of here, only 24, Mexican forward, decent club and international record thus far. Would be a definitely unknown quantity in europe and if Hernandez at Utd can make the transition im sure here can :)

I've always said, that if we could sign ANYONE, I'd want Yaya Toure. Not really what we need most, but he's quite possibly my favourite player outside Spurs. And being super versatile, he'd be a perfect fit for AVB.

We have already bought 4 players. It will take time for them and the rest of the team to get to know each other play. Buying more players... i don't know.

We got so much talent in this team already...

That will change. When we are playing teams who defend with 10 men like Crystal Palace it can be hard to break them down. Sigurdsson should be given chance in the hole for a couple of more games + Holtby is coming back.. Chadli can play behind the striker.. we got options. The solution is not always to buy new and new players... But ... i would like to see Lamela at Spurs though... we got many games coming up. I'm not saying we should not buy him. But then we are adding the fifth player (first team player?) in the team. That is a lot of changes when the season has started and no pre season for those players to gel.

After loosing out on Willian I would really like Spurs to put in a bid for Mata, he was a class above the rest in that position last year and is for some unknown reason out of favoure with Mourinho!

I personally think he will go to Utd in replacement for Rooney maybe?

Wouldn't mind Lahm can cover both sides, upgrade from Rose and cover for Walker.
