JT wasn't playing well for Chelsea because of the Bridge thing...would Bridge consider a call-up?:

Lads take off the blinkers ffs. He is an awesome defender and we need him in this world cup to progress.

    Gutted for England.

Ferdinand and King are better footballers than Terry but neither have his defensive abilities, by which I mean, his ability to make last-ditch tackles, courageous blocks and the authority with which he attacks the ball in the air. Perhaps more worrying is that Ferdinand and King have injury issues, too, and may not be able to withstand the demands of the tournament.

John Terry’s personality makes him vital to England | Football - Times Online

    Hahahaha.

    U can't be serious?

Some of Kings blocks r truly unbelivable e.g OT this season.

Well Terry can be a tw*t sometimes (e.g. stealing someone's missus), but he is a good defender [not against Defoe though] ;) His leadership at the back is second to none and that has been a major reason how Chelsea have challenged strongly for the title every year.

He has been poor all season and i really dont think it will be a as bigger lose and some think. Ledley is a better player and if they can get him through each game it will be a improvement on Terry. I suspect Rio will be partnering him and Carrager and Dawson as back up. Pretty good of you ask me.

If Terry doesn't go, King won't go. It'd be unfair to keep one 'injured' player in the squad and not the other...

This is a joke right??? I won't respond unless I hear confirmation otherwise

As far as my opinion this is good news. I could care less about England. All that I care about is Spurs and this means King and Dawson are both definitely in, with King likely to start.

    Can you say Karma???

As they say if you have nothing nice to say....

    :finger:

Thats a bit bad from the US perspective. In all honesty, I would prefer to face Terry as opposed to King or Daws. You can pretty much count on him doing something stupid at least once per match.

if terry is out then it will be ferdinand and carragher in defense i reckon!

cappello aint gonna beg him to come out of retirement then not use him wen the opportunity arises, this has given capello a great chance to show he was right to get carragher back!

After all the talk Terry has just come out and said:

"I took a slight knock in training but with such an important match on Saturday the right course of action was to put a protective boot on my right foot and have a CT scan," Terry said.

"The scan has shown there is no break and I am hoping to train tomorrow (Thursday) if not Friday and of course play in the FA Cup final on Saturday."

Some fookin serious injury that was then!!!
