With every top club in Europe circling I think this one's going to be very hard for us to pull off plus I feel he only considers us if he's given assurances about playing.
Obviously with a back 3 that can happen. In a back 4 with 2 CB's who do u drop Sanchez? Jan?
If Toby goes I'd be more than happy to get him but my gut feeling is he ain't coming.

Kind of agree. Unfortunately City actually need him more, in addition to having more money as well.

I disagree. Poch loves playing a left footed CB on the left side of the defense. MDL is Right footed and will replace Toby in his role in the back three.

I’m thinking Jan’s potential replacement will come next summer at the earliest.

Lots of twitter chatter saying that City are in the lead now.

Juventus seems the most likely destination based on what the play has suggested int he past. I think he really does prefer Juventus right now over other options like Spurs or MC.

A shame, he would have solidified our defense for years to come. All though I am still happy with Sanchez, Foyth and possibly Dier holding the position in the future.

I would go along with that deal....even if it means we keep Toby and let him go next summer or play Foyth more. Nothing wrong with letting De Ligt continue to get games at Ajax, but may be more of an issue if Poch wants him and wants to play him right away

Something in the news about a Foyth loan to Ajax.

I like that idea. Give Foyth game time. Ajax is really good at developing CBs. Take De Ligt now so we can make him home grown. Of course, we'd have to outbid everyone else.

Loan of Foyth would go towards the payment of course. It's a classic win/win for everyone. I just hope good sense prevails. Doesn't always!

How many CB's do city want ffs, they already have Kompany, Stones, Laporte, Otamendi, Mangala and Denayer.

Ah yes, the old "I'm going to buy him and sit him on the bench so my competition can't have him" mannouveur.

    ...feels all to familiar.
