We normally don't start threads in the transfer section on ITK rumors or what other boards are saying.

Then we have to wait until we've been linked with Nilmar :p

    Yup...

That's why we have the ITK section to discuss ITK links. I made that logical conclusion within a couple seconds of reading the ITK about other players at Villarreal.

Does anyone seriously think we have a chance of getting Nilmar? No harm in trying I suppose - it would be amazing.

Villarreal are in the CL, and have already sold their main winger as well as Capdevila. Cant see them wanting to loose nilmar for a cheap price

Actually you're right, I did read that as Neymar! Whoops. We definitely have a chance of Nilmar, if Villareal are willing to sell, but he's not the best option for us, IMO.

Nilmar is an interesting one. Would he be striker or RW? Maybe he could play in either position.

Before Villareal he was at Internacional - I wonder if our ties have anything to do with a possible move? Are they entitled to a sell-on fee? Could we see an all Brazilian forward line with Leandro joining in Jan? Could this be a sweetener to help that deal through - Internacional get sign on fee and it could help ease Leandro and Sandro in to the club easier. Could this mean the end of Gomes, who seems to have really helped Sandro settle in London?

So many possibilities as to why this deal may have just seemed to have sprung out of nowhere.

I searched "Nilmar miss" and nothing came up. That's always a good sign. Based on the video it appears that he has decent heading ability. I think he'd be a good buy. At this point Negredo is my first choice--I don't think Llorente will come as much as I'd want him to--but if we got Nilmar I would definitely be happy.

Ya I wrote that half sarcastically but I still believe that Nilmar would be an improvement. Obviously youtube will not provide an accurate representation of a player's true ability but I have watched Nilmar and I do rate him.

Someone mentioned VillaReal are in the CL.. not quite. Imo they have a 50/50 chance of making, seeing as last year they were beaten in the playoff round by Braga. If they get Bayern, Arsenal, or Roma they are screwed.

Any idea of a price on this guy? And I didn't know he was 27... he seems to be much more of a creator than a finisher. Tbh I have not seen enough of him to judge fully, but I would not pay more than 12 million for him.

I would think about 17-20m is what they would ask for but they sold cazorla for 21m and he was one of their most important players. He is brilliant in the air and has bags of pace. A good finishes with loads of skill. I am pretty confident he would do well in our side. I don't know why I am getting so excited. We have no indication we are even interested other than some bloke saying we are in talks with villarreal one time. I am not fully convinced that villarreal will sell another very important player.

Llorente or Negredo are my top picks. I think Llorente is more likely considering we're playing them. Whoever's going better make a ton of noise.

As you said youtube can make any player look good, ive not seen much of nilmar tbh but i have to admit watching those vids kinda reminds me of the sulk alot, he seems to have that rare ability to read the game ahead of time.

    We can dream :)
