Even if it is only a warmup game, it will be good to see the boys back in action.
Looking forward to see how our experienced attacking players do as well as how our inexperienced defenders play.

Knowing next to nothing about Roma and being too lazy to research, how strong are they starting?

Notice the right footed assist by Lamela. Maybe he has been working on it.

Lucas really playing well and showing that crazy pace, he has allowing him to easily get away from a player in a step or two. Can't wait to see him this season.

Pretty strong in attack and surprisingly in defense as well. Although losing Alisson to Loserpool is a big blow. But by the look of today, Roma are completely out of Spurs’ league.

Skipp literally barely got on the ball and when he did he didn’t have much for forward options.

Can’t compare much since both halves were extremely different

Moura was clearly the MOTM. Looked great.

Was great to see Llorente score a couple. The first was terrible defending and he’s unlikely to get those chances in the league. The second was a good poacher’s goal that could have easily been fluffed so good on him.

Eriksen barely tried and was better than almost everybody on pitch.

Lamela did little but did put in a beautiful cross for a goal with his right foot.

I think Gazzanigga is going to be our backup goalie in a year or 2.

Nobody else impressed. The defense was in shambles early.

The third best team in Italy were comprehensively beaten by our B team ... can't moan about that ... would be nice to draw them in the CL but it looks like they will be in Pot 2 with us .....

Good news on Lucas performance and no surprises. He looks good.

Defensively I would expect us to be a shambles. More time required to sort that end out.

...just to clarify - is any criticism of players (bar Sissoko) allowed?
...does constant excuse-making give us the best chance to win a trophy?

I'm going to have to learn how to spell Gazzanigga now. Actually it's pretty easy. No obvious nickname for him! But no, he had a good run out once again. He just looks so athletic. Like he came off an NBA court rather than just the awkward kid who couldn't run so they made him goalie.

I thought Amos looked really good. He should get some starts in those early cup matches. I agree that Skipp didn't have enough time to make a judgment on, but from what I saw he's not ready yet. Serge looked improved and focused. I expected Lamela to have a bigger game, but maybe once we got up so fast, its possible that he switched off a bit. Gazzaniga looked really good in goal. I think hew will end up as the number 2. Overall I was encouraged.

its just a little of a stretch to pick out a youth player who has never played first team football and want to point out that he didnt look good for the 30 minutes he came on.

he's not going to be around for the season so people arent going to have to make excuses for him, yet he was our best academy player last season and deserved to get a chance to play last night and the rest of the US tour.

why not criticize the players we'll see more of in the season?

Moura - looked amazing, beating players with ease, 2 goals and an assist, linked up well with Eriksen and Lamela.

Lamela - Really good first half, nice link up play, assist with his wrong foot, looked hungry. (lets stop the hate)

Eriksen - Beautiful man what more can I say? Lads just brilliant, shame he hit the post.

Amos - Needs time but promising.

Llorente - 2 goals but still want to see more of him working harder.

Aurier - Hit and miss again, somethings were great, somethings were just bad.

CCV - Like Amos looks promising, still needs more games to show us what he has.

KWP - Good going forwards at times.

Davies - Put him back at LB, didn't look too confident at CB.

    Sissoko - SUCKS!

This is just my opinion on some players I was watching
