Just cause I'm sick of transfer crap... we have a game Saturday! I'm guessing a few guys from the WC still not may be quite ready to play. I could see Aurier starting for Trips.

    Vorm
    Toby-Sanchez-Jan
    Aurier-Sissoko-Dembele-Davies
    Eriksen-Dele
    Kane

    2-0 Spurs

Do you think Toby will play?
I think Dier will play as he didnt play too much in the WC

I think Dier has a good shot of starting. I could also see Son starting for Dele since he's heading to Korea for a month. And Toby is on the team and he's one of the best in the world. he'd better play.

    I doubt we'll play a back three.

Pochettino will only play Toby if his mentality is right. So I guess we'll find out in that regard.

Might see a start for Moura, as he's been impressive in pre-season.

Sissoko has a hamstring injury apparently, so Dembele and Dier in midfield? Wanyama's knee problems have resurfaced.

    Odds for the match

    Newcastle 2.9/1 26%
    Draw 2.5/1 29%
    Spurs 1.1/1 48%

I am honestly not sure why we are such big favorites when we will have to play with such a weakened lineup or with players who are just back from break. It will be interesting to see what Poch goes with.

I thought the deal was South Korea can have Son AFTER the Newcastle game. If so then he is for sure starting.

Since none of our big signings will be available for Sat, I'd do the following:

    ----------------------Vorm-------------------------
    --------Toby-------Sanchez-----Jan-----------
    KWP--------Dier---------Amos-------Davies
    --Son---------------Eriksen------------Moura--

Moura, Son, Eriksen, Davies, Sanchez, Aurier are for certain starters.

    I would go

    Vorm
    Aurier-Sanchez-Vert-Davies
    Amos-Dier
    Moura-Eriksen-GKN
    Son

    Bench: Lloris-KWP-Toby-Georgiou-Dembele-Alli-Kane

This allows flexibility and ability to really change it up after 60

I agree with you on the nailed on starters. But I think I'd play a back 3 and sit GKN....I feel like Vert and Toby will be less impacted by their break than the attacking players. I'd also play Lloris...he barely has to run so he doesn't need to get up to game speed.

This just reminded me to sort out my fantasy football team, talk about a real brain fart trying to get that sorted, but 100m bang on and not a penny to spare....
Bet you Levy has his team in at around 60m, the 3 best spurs players he can get and the rest from the 4.1m pot;)

Kane will start unless someone locks him in his room. He will want to recapture the golden boot

Starting with Sissoko AND Aurier is a no-no in my view, we will be playing some of our WC players.

    So, Sissoko is still dire.

Aurier is a total mixed bag. Everyone else is competant. Kane should have been rested, with hindsight in mind.

Really sharp so far, but gave away a soft goal. Get the feeling we'll need one more, as we haven't looked great defensively on crosses/free kicks.

You CANNOT play Aurier and Sissoko at the same time, its an accident waiting to happen

So, what's changed from last year? Sissoko still looks so poor, Aurier is brainless, Harry looks knackered and when will we learn that most of our problems come from us insisting on passing the ball backwards most of the time. Newcastle have shown very little of their own making, just waiting for us to gift possession.

Interesting new substitution tactics - you take off one of your better players and I'll do the same!
