The best money we could ever spend is letting some University runs tests on Sissoko.
I for one would love to know what goes through his head when he’s 18 yards from the opposition goal?

...if we had decent midfield depth, quality left/right backs, and 0 injuries, we'd be a decent side...

I know hindsight is a wonderful thing BUT , I thought we should have taken off an attacking player for Sanchez a lot earlier

Felt sorry for him. Mainly just cos its his debut prem start and thats probably the worst way to remember it.
But in more positive news, Foyth has a 100% win record when he starts :)

I imagine some theoretical physics or a deep philosophical thought experiment. Either way he doesn't come up with the answer

While they're at it some tests could be run on Trippier - an absolute masterclass on how not to defend

I reckon someone at N’castle hypnotized him for a laugh to go blind when he sees a white line with a curve, and they forgot to unhypnotize him before he left...

It is bizarroverse when Sissoko is taking on opposing players and winning, getting open on the wing and actually being passed to (remember that game vs Barca or someone where all 21 players on the pitch pretended he didn't exist towards the end?)

Our attackers showed up today. Our defense didn't. They switched off in the second half. Sanchez was useless when he came on. Foyth started promisingly but made some rookie mistakes after not being helped by Trips or the ref. I feel bad for him. He deserved to play a PL game and Poch might not give him another for a while. This is why he needs to play more.

Wolves drew Man City at home and ManU away this season. They don't go down without a fight. But the game is over and a win is a win. I just hope Dembele isn't too hurt. If we are selling him in January to avoid losing him for free, and he is seriously injured then that might be his last game in a Tottenham shirt :(

Really lucky today and the luckiest man is the manager. A negative selection to start with and then subbed Son for Eriksen. Completely lost momentum and got away with it. You cant have Eriksen and Lamela on the pitch at the same time and Lamela is in front of Eriksen at the moment.

Our full backs were a disaster and Wolves' midfield made ours look like kids. Far superior technically. We are desperate for someone that can actually pass the ball properly.

Only Hugo and Lamela were 7/10s today. A fluke of a win. We need to step it up a few gears.

Great result, a really great result. Wolves are a very good side, a third game in six days, losing Dembele after 5 minutes, a win is a great result.

But FFS we need Jan back, his defending and LEADERSHIP are being hugely missed - we practically fell apart after their first goal. We cannot defend like that and expect to continue winning games. Foyth looks awful giving away both pens - but Tripps is far more culpable for the first than Foyth.

But lets get it right, that's a great 3pts.........COYS!!

I expected what we got from Wolves , a difficult game where we had to defend well, as they are very strong down both flanks and they use them so well in attack, so I think it was a really good win considering the team we put out .
We are looking sharper in the last two games which is encouraging ,and although you could pick holes in some players performances , it has to be 3 good points overall.

Wolves were good and they were fresh. It was a lickin' as we say, but we came out on top somehow.

Granted I could only watch the first half, but I would think he his selection paid off with us going 3-0 up. The report after the game mentions Foyth giving up two penalties so can that really be put on Poch?

That was a close call, but that has been our whole season thus far. We seem to fall under this over confident sense of comfortability in our matches that is just so frail. It is as we don't expect any fight back from our opponents due to being so dominant possession wise and not really felling that threatened by them. With that sort of false sense of confidence we then end up doing stupid things and shooting our selves in the foot and collapsing or just barely squeezing by.

Trippier really needs a long time on the side lines. In two consecutive EPL matches he has cost us goals and has been just a huge defensive liability to the point that they are now targeting him over Davies who himself has been absolutely uninspiring this whole season.

Some English press saying the incorrect offside call cost Wolves a point. Didn't see any of them defending Spurs for the points we dropped against PSV thanks to Sanchez's disallowed goal. What a crock.

We were outplayed today and deserved no points and somehow came away with 3. The defending was truly shocking from everybody but Toby. Only Lloris and Lamela put in really strong performances.

The Wolves goal being laughably disallowed almost makes up for the PSV refereeing. Ok not even close.

Well, Son came on after 10 mins for Dembele, then got subbed at 60. He made a massive difference to how we played. It was strange not to start him after West Ham but to sub him again was pretty poor imo.

To be fair , on reflection we had a totally unbalanced side after 3 mins due to Dembele having to go off and with so many attacking players on the pitch at one time it was always going to look like a 5 a side game. Kane was invisible in the first half but played brilliantly in the second, Trippier can only play as a wing back not a full back, he just isn't clever enough and Davies just isn't good enough wing back, full back or anything.
I would seriously look at Sessingnon come January

I imagine Pochettino was saving him for PSV. DIdn't seem like it would be so close at the time.

Does Lamela get an assist for Kanes goal?
