Do you think that your club will ever get another player as celebrated as one of my favourite all time players Sir Stanley Matthews ???

with the solid start you have had in the last 2 seasons do you see yourself a steady top 10 team in the next 5 years? do you ever see yourselves signing a 10 million plus player and would he suit your wage structure and system of play? how are you lot so noisy is there somethijng in the water?

does it wind you up that everyone see Delap as a one trick pony, and does he offer more than just that throw

do you think your club will ever have another player as celebrated as the great sir stanley matthews?

Sir Stan really was a one off as far as Stoke City are concerned, but of the current crop, Ricardo Fuller is our talisman and encapsulates everything good about the club. One player who could become great within the footballing world is Ryan Shawcross who could even make it to the World Cup finals with England in 2010 as he seems to be highly rated by a lot of managers within the game, and considering he is still very young, has the ability to dominate attackers and kept Carlton Cole very quiet last week.

do you now see yourselves as an established top flight team who can now push on and maybe challenge for europe?

No, it's far too early in our premiership career to even be thinking of Europe at the moment, establish ourselves in the League must be our priority and then look to possible European spots from about four years onwards if we are still in the division then.

what are ur opinions on harry redknapp and his management style?

I personally think he's astute and very funny, although suspicions of brown envelopes are never too far away from him, he certainly knows how to build a good team, but on recent form, he has to spend a lot of money to build them, could this be why Portsmouth are in the ****? although blame cannot be put 100% at Droppy's door for that one as the financial side of football is dealt with by the chief executive.

who do you see as the dangermen for both teams this weekend?

Our most focal dangerman is Ricardo Fuller who can destroy teams with his trickery, but set pieces when we attack is where we excel, with any player in the team able to put the ball in the back of the net. the back four are all six foot plus and come up for corners, so the opposition need to be aware of that [IMG]

what does rory delap offer to your team besides a torpedo like throw in?

Apart from his throw in, Rory is not a spectacular player by a longshot, but is a typical worker in a Pulis team and works his nuts off, But on a wide pitch like WHL, Rory is not as effective, so he may be on the bench for this one.

Do you have any players that you fear losing in the upcoming transfer windows?

None whatsoever, and with Ryan signing a new contract within the last two weeks, it would take a bid of substantial money to prise him away from here this season. Tuncay is rumoured to be unhappy, but I am a firm believer that no players is bigger than the club. I also know that Tony Pulis thinks this way as well.

if you could have 3 players from the spurs squad who would you choose?

    Defoe, Modric and Huddlestone.

    prediction for the match?

i would be over the moon with a draw, but think we will lose either 2-1 or 3-1.

do you think your club will ever have another player as celebrated as the great sir stanley matthews?

As much as i'd like to think so, no we wont, we got pretty darn close to a player with similar ability in Hoekstra. But you never know, the youth of today do seem better than ever!

do you now see yourselves as an established top flight team who can now push on and maybe challenge for europe?

No! And any stoke fan who says yes is deluded, we need to keep steadly progressing for the next 3-4 years before we can even think about having a push for a regular top 10 place. Our only hope is in the carling cup so fingers crossed!

what are ur opinions on harry redknapp and his management style?

Good ole' Harry, i can see plenty of him in Pulis and thats because Pulis worked with him, they have silmilar transfer policies, always looking for that bagain diamond! Although Pulis isn't as dodgy! [IMG]
Would love to see him in charge of the England team

who do you see as the dangermen for both teams this weekend?

For you guys Lennon without a doubt, unbelievlby quick with the talent to turn any player inside out.

For us Fuller, you cannot give him time on the ball because he will turn your defence inside out with his bits of magic!

what does rory delap offer to your team besides a torpedo like throw in?

He never stops running ever! he will be at the heels of whichever player of the opposition has the ball, and he is there to do the simple passes that can set up out attacks.

Do you have any players that you fear losing in the upcoming transfer windows?

I am hoping we can tie Shawcross down on a long term deal quickly, they are in talks, but if a team came in with a £15million bid you never know what the club will do. He is a rock for us and rarely puts a foot wrong and should get a call up by Capello for the upcoming friendlies.

if you could have 3 players from the spurs squad who would you choose?

Defoe and Keane - their goalscoring record speaks for itself, and Lennon for the reason mentioned earlier, he would give the team so much more pace.

    prediction for the match?

Would love for us to get a draw, but can't see it happening, so will go for 2-1 to you guys

do you think your club will ever have another player as celebrated as the great sir stanley matthews?

We may get a player with great tallent like Stan, but he will always be our one and only. A true gent and everything that is beautiful about our game, that at times is sadly missing in the modern game.

do you now see yourselves as an established top flight team who can now push on and maybe challenge for europe?

No we are no where near that yet, we need to spend the next few years slowly building a quality team. We have waited 25 years just to get back to the top table, we can wait another 5-6 for anything further.

what are ur opinions on harry redknapp and his management style?

Good manager, would have loved him to be the England boss.

who do you see as the dangermen for both teams this weekend?

For us it will be Fuller, would like to say Tuncay but we haven't really seen much of him yet. Word is he may start on Saturday.

For you Crouch/Defoe/Keane/Modric/Kranjar(sp). You have a very good squad and should get european football next season.

what does rory delap offer to your team besides a torpedo like throw in?

Rory put's himself about and always puts a shift in, not the best footballer in the world with the ball at his feet. We are [IMG] out for a ball player in the middle.

Do you have any players that you fear losing in the upcoming transfer windows?

We seem to be doing very well in getting our players to sign long term deals at the moment, so can't see any of the bigger names moving on. We no longer need to sell our best players and it seems as though Tony is trying to build a team around them.

if you could have 3 players from the spurs squad who would you choose?

    Keane- quality player
    Modric- See above
King- If only he could have stayed fit more !!

    prediction for the match?

Would love to get a point, but can see us losing 4-2

do you think your club will ever have another player as celebrated as the great sir stanley matthews?

No, some of the 70s team come close though.

do you now see yourselves as an established top flight team who can now push on and maybe challenge for europe?

Steady on owd lad, lets get this 2nd season syndrone out the way first.

what are ur opinions on harry redknapp and his management style?

Knows how to spend the chairmans dosh, but spends it well and gets results, like him loads as a character.

who do you see as the dangermen for both teams this weekend?

All your front six, Fuller for us if he plays.

what does rory delap offer to your team besides a torpedo like throw in?

    He works aaaaaarrrrrrddddd.

Do you have any players that you fear losing in the upcoming transfer windows?

Shhh, Ryan will play for England once Fabio gets a map with Stoke on it.

if you could have 3 players from the spurs squad who would you choose?

Just the three hey, they're not all in Palestine are they. [IMG] Lennon, Defoe and Crouch mainly because they're all English lads.

    prediction for the match

    Heart says 1-0 to us.
    Head says 3-0 to you.

i know these are irrelevant now but here ya go anyway!

do you think your club will ever have another player as celebrated as the great sir stanley matthews?

I think the player's such as Sir Stanley Matthews are very hard to come by in this day and age and the modern players are more celebrity/ money obbessed unlike the "legends" such as Sir Stan who would play for the club and fans.

do you now see yourselves as an established top flight team who can now push on and maybe challenge for europe?
Established after one season? I don't think so. It will take another few years for us to become estbalished in this division, but with Tony Pulis at the helm i believe it's possible.

what are ur opinions on harry redknapp and his management style?Very good manager, and would be the top of my shortlist if Tony Pulis was relieved of his duties. I see him in the same mould as Pulis who wheels and deals well in the transfer market and gets the best out of his players.

who do you see as the dangermen for both teams this weekend?

Either Ricardo Fuller or Matty Etherington. Fuller with his obvious pace and direct style or Matty because he's playing another one of his former teams, and started looking more like himself over West Ham with some good runs down the wing and nice link up play with Fuller.

what does rory delap offer to your team besides a torpedo like throw in?

My honest opinion is that Rory has been poor all season. His throws bar Burnley haven't been to his normal standard, but his overall play just lacks quality and skill that is needed in the premier league. I still don't see how he is keeping the likes of Tuncay out of the side.

Do you have any players that you fear losing in the upcoming transfer windows?Tuncay. I don't think he's happy sitting on the bench, and been some rumours recently flying around linking him with a move back to fenerbache.

if you could have 3 players from the spurs squad who would you choose?Robbie Keane- Love the guy. Would think he'd fit in to our team perfectly with his workrate.
Aaron Lennon- Our squad lacks pace and directness on the right wing.
Jermaine Jenas- Still think we need improving centrally escpecially supporting the forwards.

    prediction for the match?

Heart says 1-1 head says 1-3.

do you think your club will ever have another player as celebrated as the great sir stanley matthews?

Nope but we've had a few other greats in Gordon Banks, Alan Hudson, John Ritchie and Mark Stein. Sir Stan is way out ahead though, and to be honest he's certainly one of the greatest footballers ever (even Pele said so)

do you now see yourselves as an established top flight team who can now push on and maybe challenge for europe?

Not yet, i think normally 3 years should be the mark an established tteam. That said though we are team that no one likes to play at our place and Europe certainly isn't out of reach if we carry on as we are.

what are ur opinions on harry redknapp and his management style?

I don't like the fact that he pretty much bankrupted Portsmouth with high wages and then left and took half the team with him to leave them in further crap. He's a good manager and he's doing well with yourselves.

who do you see as the dangermen for both teams this weekend?

It would have been Defoe had he played but I think Lennon is the major theat - We don't do pace!

For us Ricci (Fuller) is a handful but Tuncay is expected to make his first league start so I hope he is out to make a big impression!

what does rory delap offer to your team besides a torpedo like throw in?

He works hard like everyone else but his throw is his major asset. He can score goals though as you will remember from last year [IMG]

Do you have any players that you fear losing in the upcoming transfer windows?

Only Shawcross but I think he'll stay because he's happy at the moment.

if you could have 3 players from the spurs squad who would you choose?

Defoe, Lennon and Palacios. We've got a solid defence and I do think Sorro is one of the best keepers in the Prem. Palacios for me is one of the best ball winners in the prem and he always finds a Spurs player with his pass afterwards. Lennon on form is just electrifying and Defoe is one of, if not, the best finsihers in the division and we really need the fox in the box kind of player (but he has got a lot more to his game)

    prediction for the match?

If we can keep Lennon quiet for the first half hour we could be ok to hold out and possibly take a chance, so a hopeful 1-1!

    Greetings spurs fan...
    1) we will never have a player as celebrated as sir stan again. We simply wouldnt be able to keep hold of a talent like his if one came through the ranks.
    2) certainly not an established prem club yet. As for europe, your having a laugh, but i do dream of drinking in munichs beerkeller with thousands of stokies, then smashing the krauts on and off the pitch!
    3) really like harry redknapp, down to earth, talks sense,a real genuine bloke. He certainly knows his football, spurs have bags of goals in them under harry as far as i can see, personally i hope you break into the top 4 this season.
4)one player i wouldnt like to play against is lennon,im a big fan of his. Im also glad modric is injured as he murdered us last year. Fuller is one player for us who when in the mood looks a real menace.
    5) rory works his nuts off, thats it really
    6) i fear ryan shawcross will be gone in january, also tuncay who weve hardly seen play yet. A captain of his country must be titsed off sitting on the stoke bench every week.
    7) 3 spurs player we'd like...mmmmm... Lennon,modric and keane
    8) prediction. Im hopeful of a 2-2 draw but fear the worst tbh.
