I've never seen a thread regarding TV footie pundits as well as commentators, and after having to watch a games this season with American commentary I thought it'd be interesting to see what everyone's take on pundits and commentators are.

Not many good ones who give a balanced view, there are far too many stealing a living from the game offering their obvious bias towards certain teams and players, I do like Chrissy Waddle who tells it the way it is.

Who are you watching for American TV?

I find the NBCSN crews to be tolerable and can communicate the tension and energy of the game really well. Granted, they have their biases but who doesnt?

Robbie Mustoe, Robbie Earl (pro Spurs) and Arlo Whyte (pro Pochettino) are very good, Lee Dixon and Graham Le Seux are actually very good co-commentators aswell.

To be honest I'm not too sure, I usually just end up muting the game if there's US commentators. I don't know what it is about it, but i definitely find myself becoming irritated with them.

Alan Green on BBC Radio is the best of the best. I remember listening to him do a Monday night match at Selhurst Park, the game was so cr@p he didn't mention it once for the entire first half, just vented about everything that was wrong with footy. Genius. Also, he doesn't get carried away with every goal scored as if it won the world cup.
