hate is a very strong word.
all i will say is that if doesn't score goals; (maybe he stuggles with a slight hamstring strain?) i'll give a chuckle.
for me it doesn't matter if he commited to the club or didn't. he's an opponent now, i have no 2nd team or anything like that.
i hope he has a dreadful time there myself.

I don't hate him. If you were playing for some other team and had the chance to play for Spurs, would you take it? Of course. Its a dream move for him. I'm gutted as he is a great, proven, settled player who gives his all for us, but in my head, I don't expect him to choose differently.

Keane is no different to Teddy

They both left for bigger clubs with more change of Silverware

Teddy return and was loved....maybe Robbie will?????

Just gutted by his comments after the CC final. It made me proud to be a yid and proud he was my teams captain.

Then he does this. Finding it hard to hate him, just emmensly dissapointed.

Agree with P unit I don't hate him & never will but I'm very disappointed & feel very let down by him. He's gone & that's that life will go on at the Lane without him.

I wish him all the best. He has been a good servant to the club and if you had a chance to play for your boyhood club. Would you???

disappointed is the word - i have to say understandable.
you have to say though at every chance so far he has praised the spurs fans and that he loved playing at the club and to be honest in recent history who has been more of a servant ...
i still stick by my thoughts that he wouldn't have gone to any other club other than the scousers certainly not man u or ar5ena1 - he's no judas

oh and of course i hope he flops big time along with the whole team...

The Keane and Teddy situations are different. Teddy was a yid though-and-through. A local boy who spent most of his career with us. He left for Man U to get something for his mantlepiece. That accomplished, he came back.

Keane isn't a yid, he just played for us as a professional footballer. He's been good to us, but he's been paid and that's his motivation. He went to Liverpool because that's where his heart lies. Its the club he supported as a kid.

Exactly. He's a great bloke, he's served his time for us and gave Spurs 110% while he was here.. Sure, the BS about "I want to end my career here" and now him moving to Spurs obviously effected me as it did all the Yids.. but, he's moving to a "bigger" club and one he wants to be at. Good luck to him, Spurs will miss him.

Records will no doubt show that he was one of our more successful strikers, especially in recent years. That's where it should now lie - in the record books. He's gone and now the club needs to move on and spend the money wisely.

Its always difficult when one of our mainstays goes . . . when sol went to arse (it was unimaginable), when arenesen left - a lot of us who bought in to his vision were crushed and now Keano who had the additional ingredient of not only being a good goal scorer, but also acted as team-motivator.

However, getting 19m pounds is a lot of money and we are arguably more equipped to fill his vacuum compared to say Dimi leaving.

Having said that, it took me some getting used to seeing Keano in the red of Liverpool.

Bah! Just after I bought a Spurs shirt with his name on the back, he leaves the club... I'm so sad. :(

I agree - If it is his boyhood club and always wanted to play for them I wouldn't hold it against him. He has been a great servant to the club, if it was me and I had the chance to play for Tottenham I would do what ever I could to make the move.

How can you guys possibly say you hate him? He was excellent for you over six years and he treated the fans brilliantly. He didn't insult the club during the whole thing like Barry has gone and done to Villa, so it shows he still has a lot of room in his heart for you. He wanted to play for us all along and he got his wish. Can't hate a man for fulfilling his dreams?

Mate six months ago after our cup final win, he of his volition came out with a statement saying he wanted to finish his career at the club and that he loved it and the fans.

We are a little bitter to be honest as we just made him the vice captain and were building our new shape team around him with the intention of Berba leaving.

A loyal servant and 6 decent years, but p!ssed myself and a great deal more Yids off!!!

He will do well for you guys as he is a hundred times better than Kraut that dutch lad.

At that moment he probably did want to finish his career there, I don't doubt it. He had just helped Spurs win their first trophy in years and he was going to be over the moon about it. The night we won the CL, Steven Gerrard claimed the same thing. He handed in a transfer request a few weeks later. I'm sure Keane misses Spurs even now, and there will be times when he wishes he was still there, I'm sure there will, but at this stage of his career he needed to grab his chance. :)
