Surprised there's no thread for him

A lot of recent links have us reviving our interest in him. With Graham Roberts talking about a championship player 99% signed it's likely that he will be a new addition to the squad

So he extended deal that Fulham could get some money from us? Or changed his mind during summer.

SSN reporting that Fulham are taking Soares on loan from Porto - might suggest they're willing to let Sessegnon go and are looking to plug the gap at LB.

Can't see anything happening here. He just signed with Fulham a couple months ago.

More interesting where he'll play. We won't let Ro$€ go and don't see us selling Davis. Not much minites in LB position then. AML might be in rotation. He would probably be Rose's replacement for next year. Playing WB should suit him quite well. Buying and loaning back for a season?

Yes the deal would make sense for Fulham but not Sessegnon. It doesn't make sense for him to sign with Fulham and then look for a transfer 2 months later. He could get a higher salary from the next club by avoiding signing with Fulham. Now a club would have to pay Fulham a big fee instead of giving that money to Ryan.

Suspect Soares will just rotate with Sessegnon or Sessegnon will play further up the pitch. Soares is injured right now anyway.

Fulham signing Soares is a major coup for them. Porto's financial woes have forced them to let some of the most promising youngsters go... and surprisingly a few of them have ended up in the Championship. Lots of Porto fans are angry at the management of the club and the fact that youngsters like Soares, Neves, Jota, Silva have all been sent to other clubs. I'm surprised we've not raided the Porto for some of their youngsters too.
I think Fulham will let Sessegnon leave, hence why they've signed Soares... however, the most likely event is that he will sign for another club but remain at Fulham for this season.

Didn't graham Roberts say we are signing someone from the championship, I wonder what's happened to that?

Think the deal for RS has to include his brother who also plays for Fulham. That's what I've read recently regarding this deal

Not really. He's definitely not worth the hassle to complete the deal but again I'm optimistic we sign him on deadline day

Same could be said of 100 other players we're not going to sign. This was over when he signed his extension with Fulham.

Thats not the clubs fault, Fulham dont want him to leave but they'll be enough interest in him over the next two windows to ensure they get the money they want for him.

Fact being is if we don't cough up the £30M then another club will and we will lose out, simple.

There's a whole lot of moves based on other moves .... forget RM he won't get a game if ho goes there .... Utd are showing interest because they want Rose .... thus they will allow Ryan to join us if we allow Rose to join them (in the summer) .... we want Ryan now so we can bed him in as Rose's replacement for next season ....

Of course that would leave Fulham without a back-up so they need to make sure they can sign one .... Soares is on loan but they may want someone else as well ....

Of course there are another dozen clubs who would like Ryan so this 'cozy' arrangement may never happen ...... but it could

If Sessegnon does go elsewhere, I hope Poch has a good look at Celtic’s Tierney.

I may have said this previously.

Care to expand on why you think he's nowhere near good enough? At only 20 years of age he has already acquitted himself well in Europe with Celtic (whilst the majority of his teammates failed to do so) and for the National side (despite primarily being used out of position at either RB or as one of three CBs). His potential upside is very high.

Spurs set to win race ahead of Liverpool and Man United for Fulham starlet Ryan Sessegnon - EFL pundit on summer transfer - Bristol Post

According to Leroy Resinior there are string rumours we have agreed a deal for Sessegnon.

According to ITK's Fulham want around £50 million for him, which is insane money for a player of his ability.

It's incredible the way he's spoken about, as if he's some special talent, when he really isn't. He's got a great instinct for being in the right place at the right time, much like Dele, but he's far from being a technically gifted footballer, that you'd expect to get for such a massive fee. I've read so many of our fans being so desperate to sign him, but I'm sure hardly any have seen him play. He's definitely got the potential to be a high goal scoring attacking wide player in the Prem, but he certainly is not going to be the next Bale, as he simply isn't technically good enough. It reminds of the Jack Rodwell situation, when everyone was so excited about his "potential", but you only had to watch him play to see he simply didn't have the technical ability to be anything special and was ahead of his peers as he was physically ready at a young age.

I'm certainly not opposed to signing Sessegnon for the right money, as I really think he does have a chance of being a regular goal scorer in the Prem. But the numbers being mentioned and the hype surrounding him just doesn't match his ability.
