Rarely has Levy allowed himself to get caught up in a bidding war. If some other team is willing to pay the full asking price, they will get him.

Sessegnon will need to ask himself does he want to follow in the footsteps of young players like Kane and Alli or Rodwell and Sinclair.

Does anybody genuinely believe that he would walk into any of the top 5 EPL sides as a regular starter?
So how can Fulham demand such a fee?

What a strange demand. Either way I find it hard to believe Sess wouldn't start for Utd or Liverpool within a few months.

Fifty million is ludicrous. Hes worth that to Fulham but to spend that on an unproven player is mental. It would by more understandable if we needed him but that money will be much better spent on other areas that need it.

Agree on the price. But left back has got to be our thinnest position. Even thinner than striker. With Rose not himself and probably off we only have one left back in sight.

But is he really a LB in the PL? Seems like Winger is likely to be his final position.

They can demand whatever they want as long as there isn't a release clause, it's also fair to assume by everyone that he will get better as he gets a bit older.

Why not? I mean, it worked for Utd with Shaw.

Not sure if serious or not, they don't peak they just might leave the professional game or drop down a level because they were never good enough for the level of the club they were at, injuries aside pretty much every professional footballer will get better as they go through their late teens.

Maybe every one that remains. But there are more 17 year olds who stop progressing than ones that get better. And for each year you add on, the more true that statement becomes.

Simply saying he will get better doesn't mean much. But will he keep getting better every year for at least 6 or 7 years to justify his price tag? That's a big freaking risk. Theat risk is getting left out of the conversation on him, just like it was left out with shaw, who almost completely stalled out.

I'm stoked on him. I'm starting to think Poch will utilize him as a LB in the long run, the kid is going to be an absolute beast when he starts building some muscle up. He's already pushing defenders bigger than him like they're school boys

Yeah but I suppose it's optimism. It'll be hard for Fulham to down an offer and I'm sure sess knows coming to spurs would probably be his best career move if he doesn't want to end up stuck back n the youth systen

Sessegnon will be highly sought after by a number of clubs after this season. We may very well be one of them, although that may depend on whether we really see him as a LB (a position we will probably want to strengthen) or LW (a position we seem strong in already). For a kid who scores as many goals as he does, it's hard for me to imagine he won't be a wing. Wherever he plays, he isn't going to be cheap, that's for sure.

If Fulham win promotion, they may try and hold on to him.

No way has he been the best young player in The Championship this season, let alone the top 6 in the country. Madison and Neves are still just 21 and both easily qualify for the YPOTY award, so why has Sessegnon been nominated? It's ridiculous, even if you think Sessegnon has the talent to go on and be a CL player, how do you justify him being selected ahead of better players based on potential?

Maddison, who has 2 more assists than Sess and the same number of goals, despite playing more centrally? And by Neves do you mean Jota? Neves doesn't have the flashy stats that usually wins awards.

But Wolves have won the league and virtually every Wolves fan would say Neves is their best player and the best player in the league. Madison has been far better than Sessegnon. We know Sessegnon has a great instinct to be in the right place to score, but if it wasn't for his age, his performances this season wouldn't be mentioned in the same breath as Madison, who is by far the most creative player in the league. He's not just a tad ahead in chances created, but 0.5 chances per game ahead of his nearest rival. Also wide attacking mid players tend to score more goals than those who play centrally. Saying Sessegnon has been better than Madison is like saying Ali or Son have been better than David Silva in my opinion.

I just read that his parents are encouraging him to take things slow. If Fulham ends up getting promoted, I wouldn't be surprised if he stays there another year.

He has no reason to leave Fulham if they get promoted.

I think Fulham is a good club for him long term. I'd take him here for a decent fee, as I can see him having the potential to become a top LB, but as an attacking player I just can't see him at a top Prem club, as he just doesn't have enough to his game.
