I feel sorry for him...
Tottenham midfielder Sandro left at airport after Champions - IMScouting
Wilson's fault though... should have translated it correctly!
Dunno why but I get this image in my mind of a kid left behind as his classmates leave for the field trip to Disneyland...
That is ridiculous........I feel so sorry for him.
I still don't understand why he's not in our CL squad. We've got enough "homegrown" players to meet UEFA's quota, so why put O'Hara in, who in all likelyhood will not even be fit for any of the group stage games?
Looks like passes in midfield aren't the only thing he's getting wrong lately.....
Very well put .
Absolute joke if true.
Whether Wilson's helping out with translations or not it's Harry's job to tell the squad where they belong. For this lad to think he's heading over til the day before only to find out he'll be playing in a reserve game instead smacks of unprofessionalism
Well lets see, Wilson speaks spanish as a first language while Sandro speaks portegese (sp?) as a first language. so i can see where a mix-up could occur.
i thought the Brazilian language was Portuguese
come on man english isn't really my first language. its more american and in american we just spill shit the way we feel like it.
i went to America a few years a go and got told by an american that i didnt speak proper English LOL
It was clear what you meant...
I think this is a joke as well, no matter what the language barriers it should be made clear to a player whether or not he's getting on the plane before you get to the airport. I agree Harry might be dubious of including him as he hasn't been here long or played with the team yet but he's gotta be a better choice than some others...
You don't, Edmonds!
If you DID, that sentence would have read:
"I went to America, a few years ago and was told by an American that I didn't speak English properly"!!
thats was the whole reason i wrote it that way lol thats exactly what they said to me... sorry i should have put a quote around it
'i didnt speak proper English'
I'm not sure I even believe this story.
I watched the squad leaving on SSN earlier & they were all having their tickets checked. It just makes no sense that, if the squad all traveled together, how Sandro would get all the way to the departure lounge before being told. Also, the squad has been available for weeks. There is absolutely no way we would all know Sandro was not in it & not the player himself.
I'm not even sure we went via Stanstead.
If accurate this is not a great start to the kid's days with Spurs. Regardless Sandro will have plenty of opportunity to get into the squad. Patience is a virtue.
Here he is....ready to go
Cheguei faz pouco no Stansted airport. Vôo atrasou mais de uma hora. Proveitoso período de treinos com a Seleção. | Plixi
Seriously, all that pic proves is that he wasn't with the squad as the team travelled in their Spurs tracksuits as they always do.
Who knows why Sandro was at Stanstead, or even when that pic was taken. There is no way he'd be going with the team dressed in casuals tho. Seems to be a large case of someone putting 2 & 2 together & coming up with 5.
They definitely went from Stansted, Bass. But they seemed to be in a quiet area of the airport. Probably where the private flights take off from. You could see all their cars parked and they showed Luka and his suitcase, checking in.
The picture of Sandro in Spursman's article shows him amongst the general public, at what looks like the main terminal. Maybe it was taken when he flew in to join us, last month?
You must've seen the same report I did Brum, altho I saw VDV & several others checking in. It looked like a private airfield to me, but maybe there is an area of Stanstead that deals with private flights - in fact there certainly is. They were all dressed in proper Spurs gear, with only 1 bag each, not 2!
Anyway, If you actually analyse the picture, he is in arrivals, not departures.
Good spot!
Sandro's arrival in the UK August 29
Cheguei na Inglaterra galera. Essa foto é saindo do aeroport... on Twitpic
I arrived at Stansted airport.

so where the hell was he arriving from?
I arrived at Stansted airport does little. Flight delayed over an hour. Fruitful period of training with the squad.
translated the words under the photo.
ATTENTION, ATTENTION.....I'm an idiot......the photo was taken on sept 8, which I'd imagine is when he arrived back from Brazil duty.
Pathetic treatment from Tottenham. It cant believe he would not have been informed he cant even play in the champions league for us let alone he will not be needed tonight. Someone's head should roll for it.
I'm kind of embarrassed by this. You don't treat a new signing this way. Especially someone who has just arrived in a foreign country and is still learning the language.
I believe I seen Sandro sitting on the bench with the rest of the lads at the WBA game even though I don't think he was in the squad. Maybe the plan (or the mistaken plan) was to bring him along just for the experience of it. I hope he's been made to feel welcome. I thought Gomes would have been the guy who would take him under his wing, not Palacios.
ffs. Someone somewhere owes him an apology.
A Copa Libertadores Champion getting this kind of treatment GARBAGE I doubt he will have patience especially after all hes done Spurs do not mess this one up please!
I can't believe anyone actually thinks this story is real.
There may be fragments of truth in it, but I'm certain it never happened how they are making out. There is absolutely no way the squad would not be told who was registered for the Champion's League, its been online & in the news for weeks! Of course Sandro knew he wouldn't be playing.
If anything, he probably didn't realise that he was expected to play in the friendly. However, I've seen no evidence to suggest he was even there with the rest of the squad. Nobody else is even reporting it. IMScouting says the story comes from the Daily Mail but it is nowhere on their website.
To me the whole Sandro situation is a piss take from us actually signing him months and months ago to us not seeing him feature in any way shape or form and now this is just another farcical error on THFC's part.
I'm sure that Stansted doesn't have a Terminal 5 so the photo must have been taken at Heathrow.
