    [h=1]Falqué signs permanently / Southampton loan[/h]
    16 January 2012

    Share

We are delighted to announce that we have reached agreement with Juventus for the permanent transfer of Yago Falqué.
The Spain Under-21 international originally joined the Club on a season-long loan from the Serie A side last August and has made a total of six appearances for us to date.
Yago will now join Championship leaders Southampton on loan for the remainder of the campaign to continue his development.

I remember reading some ITKs that said Harry didn't really rate Falque. Well those look to be off base as the club has announced his permanent move. Loaning him to Southampton will be good for him IMO.

Good news and a good place to loan him to atm. He should be able to play often enough there and get good experience in a decent championship team.

Yep. It was indeed Storts. A quick refresher:

I for one am very excited about what Falque might develop into. His appearances in the Cups has certainly shown a bit of a glimpse into the bright future he might very well have in front of him.

You know the fact that we made this deal early in this window, gives me a nice feeling.

seems to have talent but also a bit of a funny temprament. Were a few games in the cups he seemed to mope and sulk around the pitch. Still he's certainly talented and will be interested to see how he does at southampton

    best news all day.

(admittedly had a bad day so far) but still, love this type of signing and I thought Falque was rather good in the EL. Will do him good to be fighting for promotion and I think any games and more opportunities to see him will do him a world of good.

Who needs Silva or Mata when you've got Iago? :001_005:

    Quite..........

I'll add that I probably have a better contact (if I could be bother to exploit it) inside the club (straight to Levy) than Storts or most of the other so-called ITKs.

Great news, I'm well happy with this! Not just cos I'm quite the fan of iago but cos after exiting the EL I was worried that younger or fringe players would be cast aside, but Arry is continuing to send them out so happy days!

Good news, the guy looks to have a fair bit of natural talent and an eye for goal. Could develop into a very good player.

To be fair, didn't ITK's actually suggest this PRECISE outcome quite some time ago? I'm sure someone said we were trying to sign Falque on a permanent deal so we could loan him out, they even called Southampton as his destination

In regards to ITK's calling the transfer.

    ....60% right ain't half bad.

Coincidence that the story was in the Daily Mail that same day.

Hopefully a young player who will blossom into a first team regular......let's hope he takes his chance at southampton, may be wise to keep him there next season as they should reach the prem, if current form continues.

Great news about this. I'm hoping he develops his game and Southampton are flying at the moment so its a good loan deal for them as well.

He has a bright future, hoping to see big things come from him in the next 2 to 3 years.

On the same day though. Why does that seem to happen a lot?

Me thinks a couple people have a source in the media. Which qualifies as a source but when you consider the papers record with transfer rumors it's not the most credible.

To me he looks like he might have what it takes to be the one to replace VDV when he is done. Obviously he has a long way to go, but if he develops I think he could be that type of player and can also play on the wing.
