    (CB) Woodgate
    (CB) King

    (LW) Dos santos
    (RW) Bentley
    (CM) Modric
    (CM) Arshavin
    (DM) NEED to sign

    (FW) Berbatov

    With these as backups

    Jansson (GK)
Dawson/Ekotto/Gunter (Across Def) Need 1 more CB
    Hudd/Zokora/Ohara (DM/CB/LW/CM)
    Bostock/Jenas/ Lennon/Taarabt (Across midfield)
Bent/Pekhart (Forwards) + replacement if berba leaves

Players to come in - Arshavin, Holding mid, Centreback, Berb replacement

Players still to go out - pyo, kaboul, stalteri, gilberto, rocha, gardener, ghaly, boateng

Pretty darn good 24 man squad if all was done!!!

Such exciting times to be a yid, i think were gonna upset some teams massively this year by handing out a thrashing, with that midfield i see us destroying even the likes of man u and chelsea on our day!!!

Simply cannot wait for the new season COYS!!!!!!!!!!

I wouldn't mind seeing Tom Huddlestone playing Defensive Midfielder, he quite good at it in my opinion. But so far, the only person we really been lookin at is David Albelda from Valencia for 1.5 million which would be a great signing.

Also, it looks like Roman Pavlyuchenko is our next target for Striker as well as Andrei Arshavin most likely to join the squad in then next few days for midfield.

Apart from those few signings we need, the squad looks awesome :D

Come on the next season! :)
    Top 4 here we come.

agree that tomas the tanklestone is a good player, but im not sure if he can protect our defense too well, just feel he lacks that bit of pace to keep up with the likes of lampard, cole, gerrard etc etc in this world.

however i do feel that if we dont sign a DM that ohara will be playing there, hes tottenham through and through, has that bit of pace, certainly can tackle and has great vision........... potentially the next makelele!!!!???

Sorry m8, i don't have a direct link for it but it was mentioned a lot of times on the NewsNow.co.uk website (the one tottenham in the news links from).

It was on a lot when we were seeking David Villa a few days back - and said that Albelda was only gnna cost 1.5 million as he has fallen out with his club plus Valencia need the cash from their current debt situation.

If i can ever find a link again I'll pass it on :)

PS: We were also linked with him in the January transfer window so maybe it'll come through this time.

You'll be a force to be reckoned with in the midfield. Back line looks a little skinny. I've never liked Woodgate.

I personally think we got a very good defence. The fact that Bale is back fit and Hutton is looking in good form, we will have 2 good wing defenders there. Also, big Ledley King and Woodgate are very good players when they on their form, just they always get injured :(

A new centre back to cover for those 2 as well as Dawson to be back up will be a good signing.

Cheers for the links. A good buy that will be if we could get it, for a very good price as well.

Forget Berba I reckon its only a matter of time for the mancs to stump up.

The squad is looking good but I can now see Bent starting regulary and so that just leaves anothe striker required, I cant see Villa coming now as weve spent over 50 mil already!!!!

A defensive midfielder would be nice though!

    Bring on the scum.

The way bent is playing, i'd sell Berbatov immediatelly....
Also, for a 4-5-1 formation u need a striker with killer instinct imo...I dunno Bent that much to say if he is or isn't the one with it....

I am almost overwhelmed by the choice we have now. Can't really decide who i would want where tbh. I have the utmost faith in ramos though so can't wait for season start.

Everyone seems to be forgetting that Bent has scored goals against poor pre season opposition and he could not cut it last year in the prem. We need to cut the crap with these russians, sign Villla and keep Berby. If Berbatov has to go then sell him abroad and dont get bullied by the big four again.

Apart from that i must be honest the squad does look to have some cracking depth in midfield and attacking mid but we really do need a world class cb who is not injury prone other wise we could be buggered come chrimbo

I think we badly need cover at CB. We may as well be prepared to lose Leds and Woddy or both for long periods of the season. I'd be very happy if they played 25-30 prem games together but i fear the chances of that are slim. We also need to sort things out up front one way or the other with Berbs then move on and bring in some talent. Apart from that i can see a great team and squad

I think a center back and a forward is what we need now, I wouldnt mind a defencive midfielder aswell but cant see all 3 happening

Agree on CB. Can't think of anyone though tbh.

Where would the russian's fit into the squad assuming we signed them both.

Andrei Arshavin to replace Jermain Jenas in Midfield.
Roman Pavlyuchenko probably to play alternatively with Darren Bent up front.

I would have ben very happy for Bent to leave this summer but if he carries on the way he has been in pre-season I would be more than happy for him to be a regular in the first team squad.

Bent is young and e's actually hard worker. So with the delivery he'll be getting from midfield combined with his finishing skills, I think he'll be amongst the top scorers in the EPL this season. We still need an out and out left winger, and then Pavlyuchenko, or somebody else as back-up target-man for Bent.

I really want David Albeda to come to the lane. He's a good players for the squad. Also, bring in one more quality CB, and one more to cover.

I can see Big Hudd getting the starting spot as DM, because our creative midfield are all really diminutive, we need two strong, aggressive and dynamic DM, so one signing there would be great.

    My squad:

    GK: Gomes
    RB: Hutton
    CB: King, Woodgate
    LB: Bale

Defensive back-up: Gunter, Albeda, Dawson, New goalkeeper, New CB

Midfield: Lennon, Bentley, Modric, Huddlestone, Jenas, GDS, O'Hara, New CM/DM, Left winger/Attacker,

    Forward: Bent, Berbatov**, New signing
    (**subject to change)

Back-ups to the back-up: Zokora, Gilberto, Pekhart.

All together, that makes a pretty mean looking 25 man squad. 18 of which we already have. I know 7 more people sounds like a lot but we've pretty much got our first team sorted, and all our signings have been major ones. We just need one or two more real quality signings, and some squad players.

P.S. An interesting side note: The average age of the 18 players listed there is 24.3 years old. We have quite a few 19 year olds, and more 21-23 year olds, who are all very promising. Then you have the depth and experience like King, Woodgate, Gilberto (the only over 30 player). That looks really healthy.

    Spurs line up

If we do get Stephens Bywater, Andrei Arshavin and Berbatov stays, what do you think spurs's line up should be? Also tell who you think should be sold or go on loan.

    Dimitar Berbatov Andrei Arshavin

Arron Lennon Giovani Dos Santos David Bentley
    Luka Modric

Gareth Bale Jonathon Woodgate Ledley King Alan Hutton

    Heurelho Gomes

Subs: Tom Huddlestone, Didier Zokora, Micheal Dawson, Jemaine Jenas, Stephen Bywater, Darren Bent.

Who should be sold: Younes Kaboul, Ricardo Rocha, Paul Salteri, Hossam Ghaly, Lee Young Pyo

Who should be put on loan: Adel Taarabt,, Kevin Prince Boateng, John Bostock
