    2011 summer window

    In

    Friedel - Free
    Ceballos - Free
    Coulibaly - £2.5m
    Adebayor - Loan
    Parker - £6m

    Total £8.5m

    Out

    Hutton - £4m
    Palacious - £8m
    Crouch - £10m
    Keane - £2.5m
    Bentley - Loan
    Jenas - Loan
    Naughton - Loan
    Caulker - Loan
    O'Hara - £5m

    Total £29,5m

How can Levy & co justify this?

We have the champions league money from last year plus the additional 23m from this window yet we have failed to purchase anyone of note (Adebyor is a loan not a purchase).

There muct be something brewing. There has to be.

Cahill has only 12 months left on his contract, i would imagine Levy will go for him in Jan.

We desperately needed another striker/defender. now that the squad is a little smaller will be interesting to see how spurs will cope with the europa.

the big thing is the wages. Thats a lot of money off the bill.

Looks like Levy was more concerned with the wage bill this summer , maybe in January hel strengthen, but still no excuse not to at least strengthen not stagnate

If we don't make a couple of signings, I expect us to finish mid table at best. That is with our leaky defence and not being able to score.

    A bit premature the thread!

I'm hoping for an Adam lateness, VDV quality signing here!

Well 23:00 and no major signing :(

I am not happy, I have supported Levy & Co through their transfer dealings for several years without a negative comment.

Now we sell our deadwood YET FAIL to sign anyone except a loan striker and Parker.

Dissapointed is a fooking understatement :(

So we now have a team of

    Keepers, Friedel, Gomes, Cudicini
Defenders, Corluka, Walker, Kaboul, Dawson, King, Gallas, BAE, Rose
Midfield, Modric, Hudd, Sandro, Parker, Lennon, Bale, VDV, Krank, Livermore, Dos Santos
    Strikers, Defoe, Pav, Adebayor

The forward line is not one that shouts top 4, the defence is short of one or two signings, luckily the midfield is very strong.

Have no chance, we are up shit creek without a paddle, Liverpool are just going to waltz their way to the top four whilst we and the scum battle it out for the wooden spoon.

17m spent since getting in the CL. Where has all the money gone, Levy needs to release a statement to us now.

We are going no where, no where fast.

The dreams over guys. <20 million spent to strengthen over 4 transfer windows since getting into the champions league. We will lose our big names next summer, and with the financial fair play rules coming in at the end of the season we wont be able to offer money to purchase any sort of decent players.

Thanks Levy. We lose, the end.

i agree mate that's why im still waiting for this signing. I left the house at 5 expecting to come back to some signings at 9 and even when there werent i thought we'd still see something. Levy mustve known all these players were going to go surely he would have lined up at least 1 or 2 top replacements. Or maybe there is a deeper lying issue.

1- Levy wants to improve the club's underlying numbers pending a sale.

2- There is little point spending too much money if 'Arry is on his way to:

    a) the England job

    b) possibly jail/suspended sentence.
