Derby loan for Tom
(null)
The young midfielder, 19, last season enjoyed a successful loan spell at Leyton Orient where he made 14 appearances including two FA Cup ties against Arsenal.

He made his Spurs debut this season in the home leg of the Europa League play-off against Hearts at White Hart Lane and has since clocked up seven First Team appearances in cup competitions.

He was rewarded for his impressive displays with a call-up up to the England Under-21 squad in November.

Derby manager Nigel Clough said: "We're delighted to welcome Tom on board. He's a highly regarded young player and we have monitored his progress for a considerable amount of time.
"He brings another option for us in midfield and it's great he will be around for the rest of the season. Tom has already played first-team football at Tottenham this season and they view him coming here as an important part of his development."

Pucker post. A new word has been added to my vocabulary:

Frimpong (verb, noun)
verb
1. To say something that makes no sense
2. To act foolishly
examples:
(1) Arsene Wenger frimponged about the referee after the game
(2) Chelsea frimponged badly paying £50m for Torres.

noun

1. an act or instance of saying something stupid
2. to make a very silly mistake
examples:
(1)
Fatboyyid was a bit of a frimpong typing Darby
(2) Pav takes his penalty - oh no, a frimpong has occurred.

Good to see some of our players who were at League 1 or 2 clubs last season going to Championship teams this season. Shows how they've progressed and will surely help them progress further.

Good luck to Tom, hope he gets a fair few games at Derby.

At least he's going to a club that's fighting for things.

I'd like to see Ceballos go on loan as well. I don't think he really needs to play for our youth/reserve team for much longer. He's played matches with Barca our teams for years, I think he can handle a loan better then most.
