Serge Aurier came to WHL with a decent reputation but after seeing the problems he has been having adapting to life in the PL I really dont think that buying another PSG FB who isnt a 1st choice in his position is a clever move.

Do we want another PSG cast-off? I know little about Kurzawa and I am aware that there are many things to be considered when signing a player, but a look at the Futhead ratings show him as rated one point below Aurier. That doesn't fill me with confidence.

Why not look at relegating teams players for our back positions? Seems to be a safer option
    Long and Bertrand from Saints
    Rondon from WBA
    Shaqiri or Butland from Stoke
IF Swansea drop, Abraham and Mawson ?
+ Bale (or any other 'worldie')

Surprised no mention of Jay Rodriguez or Evans from WBA. Seem like the most obvious ones to me. Evans would be classic Levy after shipping out Toby.

If it was 2010 sure but Evans couldn’t play in our system

If Poch decides to walk this summer (I truly hope not) would love to know people’s opinions on who we could look at as a possible replacement??

I'd take Bertrand, but I don't think he's first choice material.

Rondon is a decent shout, but I believe he's going to mid-table club.

Shaqiri is a rotten apple and Butland is too good to be 2nd choice.

Abraham is a Chelsea player and isn't really a player that led an example. Mawson seems great but we're talking about replacing Toby there, not to mention that Swansea aren't getting relegated, Huddersfield are more likely looking at their fixtures but that'd require Saints to win 3 games propably

I'd take Rodriguez from WBA, he can play wide and upfront, he is certainly an improvement on Llorente and Janssen. Not the marquee signing we all want but I can't see us going for a Martial/Rashford who would be perfect for us imo.

Butland would be legitimate competition for Lloris, although he isn't a sweeper keeper.

I wouldn't be adverse to bringing in Redmond, but not sure we actually need him.

    Is it 2005 again?

He’s done nothing since his Liverpool days

    He’s an average coach

For me he's a contender for manager of the season.

Well, it might sound funny, but I don't think ANY of the current premier league team has got a worse squad than him. Honestly. At least there's some quality in all of the potential relegation teams, he's got pretty much nothing to work with and he actually sits comfortably mid table. He wasn't able to sign any decent players past two windows, bringing a Leicester reject on loan, yet he's gotten them as far. Fair play to him for sticking him after relegation and managing to get them back up right away. He's got it wrong at Real but then they won Champions League after they sacked him, and he's won Europa League with Chelsea despite their fans blasting on him all the time.

For me, average coach is Allardyce or Pulis, he's at least level, if not two above him. Would I want him instead of Poch? No, definitely not, he's not an ideal replacement, but he's far from average.

My God, did anyone here think there would really come a day when a player of Sissoko's caliber commands an unquestionable 15-20 Million. I couldnt help but gawk for the 30 we payed for him.

26 goals last year for Napoli and 18 this year. I’d be ok with this. He’s very different than Harry

He just turned 31 so this would be for at best 2 years until hes sold to MLS/China.

Having said that I don't see him coming. Too old, too much $, and he's too small.

40? that could not possibly be so. We would not be "preparing" a bid, we would be throwing the money with both hands I'd say.
