A hugely popular man at the club and throughout the football community from his time as a player. The interview with Paul Merson is very emotional.

RIP to a genuine football man,
i was talking to a villa friend of mine and he says they used to affectionately call him ugo chuckiegg which i thought was quite funny.
doing a grand job at the lane by all accounts, will be sadly missed

It's shocking, he was only 44, and I'd imagine incredibly fit.

Go win the league for Ugo lads!

Heart attacks are always complicated. I had a bad feeling when I heard about it. Such a shame, seemed like a great guy dedicated to his family and who loved the game and training the youth. RIP

From all at Bolton Wanderers, please accept our sincere condolences over Ugo's tragic death.

You guys went up massively in our estimation after the Fabrice Muamba incident and will always be fondly remembered by us up North.

Best of luck for Wembley and the league, praying you make the double happen.

RIP Ugo, sleep well with footballing giants young man.
