I went to Pride Park this afternoon to watch Derby v Qpr and have to say Wayne Routledge gave a master class in wing play he tormented the right back all afternoon showed some blistering pace and some cracking crosses from the byline on this performance Qpr got an absolute bargain.

To be honest Shady Derby were poor and i think Cloughie will do well to stop them being relegated but i hope Derby hold on on Tuesday and we get there on Wednesday as the in laws are season ticket holders and the mo in law has got to have her knee done so i get her cup final ticket !

She`ll have to Kev she`ll be on crutches if they get tickets high enough up she could`nt climb up the steps and in any case the crutches could mysteriously disappear:644:

I liked him when he was here , hardly got given a chance. But hes a young winger who is not afraid to take people on - he has a brilliant delivery as well. Wish he got a bit more time here tbh.

Ive seen Newcastle play three times this season, Routledge has not impressed in any of them. He hasnt been bad either just mediocre. I think with the right attitude he could have been a top player, anyone remember when Jol brought in Routledge against West Brom away (at least I think it was) and then he was so bad he brought him off. Never seen that happen in football before (except for injury).

    COYS!!!

I don't really rate him, was he any good in the Championship? I don't really think he's PL standard... certainly his record doesn't show that he scores many goals

He looks great in the championship but that is his level tbh.......he's never going to score lots of goals but can skip past players for fun in the championship!

Should really help them get promotion this season hopefully!!

A step down from the Premiership obviously but a correct one. He will most likely be a shining star in the Championship for the rest of the season. I don't think he ever really cut it for Newcastle although I did see some good glimpses from him this season and it is surprising that Newcastle let him go as they don't really have many out and out wingers in there squad.

If there were only a level between the Championship and PL. He seems too good for the Championship not quite good enough for EPL. As we call them here in the states in baseball a AAAA player

I hope QPR go up though, I have a soft spot for them, I really enjoyed watching them in the early 90's right when I was getting properly into football

agreed there are alot of players in the Championship who are on that level off Championship / premiership....

    Taarabt is one of them...

No doubt, I can't believe how Warnock has allowed Taarabt to play for them this season. it actually is working very well but if he tries that stuff in the Prem they will get slaughtered

I agree, if they go up which I think they will then Taarabt will get caught out. He may have great skill and a great shot on him but he is still to selfish and if there are 2 options pass or shoot 95% of the time he will shoot. I watched a game a little while ago where he was phenomenal but would not get the space or time and specifically a second chance to pass in the Premier League. It was also a game that Routledge shone in and was more than happy to pass to teammates rather than to always shoot.

But don't forget Taarabt will be at Barca, Madrid or Man Utd sooner rather than later haha your having a laugh you idiot.
