He's class.Forced them down the wings just to avoid him. Put in a few great tackles but most of it was his positional sense doing the hard work for him.

Shame Zakora is gonna be sidelined.

Agreed that he was the only positive from today.

    Daws was good too.

I'm not sure Didi will lose his place on JJ's performance today. Lets just hope he's a little rusty but he was not just short of his best, not even his inconsistent self but absolutely awful. Palacios was gettiing forward too & had a couple decent efforts, can see him & Didi playing alongside each other on occasions.

I'm really disappointed by JJ tho. I really hoped he'd been out for ages, he needed to prov himself after January speculation & losing the vice-captaincy & I thought he might just do it today, especially with his mate Robbie back with us. He was terrible! He kept on completely miss-hitting the ball, giving it away, selling people short . . . terrible. I would have put Didi on at half-time but I guess Harry knows JJ has been out for a while & wants him to have some match time.

Palacios might as well have been playing on his own in the centre of the field but he still compleetely ran tings! It was wonderful to see! He even packs a meam shot!.. I his 1st 2 games for us he's had at least 3 good efforts on target. I can't believe he's not scored in the Prem yet. It won't be long tho on that evidence.

It is so satisfying to think that we are no pushover in the middle of the park anymore. Awesome performance. To come from a smaller club like Wigan, effectively out of nowhere only a year ago, to a huge club like Spurs & actually up your gameplay to that level is hugely impressive. I bet Arsene was watching him thinking "why did I let him go? He's exactly what I need in my team" & that made it even more satisfying!

Now i'll admit i didn't know much about Palacios when we signed him......but what a Q U A L I T Y player he is. He won everything in midfield today and i can't remember the last player we had in the middle like that. The guy was just awesome

And considering the size of the bloke there ain't gonna be many players getting through him either!!!! :761:

How many new signings at the Lane have their name chanted throughout the Lane within 50 mins. He was tremendous.
Guy did not stop running and if he went into a tackle only one player was coming out with the ball...........Our Wilson

The only positive, are you kidding me! We got a point against Arsenal and dominated the match! Come off it! Everyone is always sooo damn negative on here.

We would have all taken a point before hand so be grateful.

Yeah I corrected myself once I had calmed down and had a think about it.

Yeah we did play em off the field in spells and Dawson was very solid throughout.

However if the Goons were ever for the taking and if we wanted to hammer home the fact that they wont be playing CL next season it was today.

It was an opourtunity missed in that respect.

Excellent performance not only by palacios.

That was one of the most encouraging games of the season by Spurs! It's never easy when your playing against 10 men.

We didn't score but at least we were taking shots at goal for a change.

Spurs haven't exactly thrilled to many supporters with their play recently........but, today they at last started to play as a team.

I think whenever you are playing a ten man team, they up the urge to win and fight harder... we had most of the possession as well and most shots on goal, surprised that we didn't win 2-0 with the two chances we had!

am i the only one who thought we played well{aprt from jj know where did i put that sniper rifle} .ok they were down to 10 men but they got everyone behind the ball and hit us on the break and looked dangerous when they did i might add,but we created chances won nearily every tackle and should have won the game i think were all a little blinded by the fact we didnt coys

I must admit i didn't really pay attention to Palacios when he played for Wigan, and when i saw him playing against Bolton i thought that he'd just be another average signing. But holy hell i think i got a hard on watching him today! hahaha, i think he might just have become my favourite player.
More performances like that please Mr. Palacios!

Someone mentioned JJ getting the elbow and him and Zakora playing side by side in our 5 man midfield.

Where is that smiley that is rubbing its hands together in anticipation?

Zakora holding to protect the defence, Modders supporting the front man and creating whilst Wilson does both bits and anything else he can.

You should have gone to milan JJ your days are numbered, big time!!!

Wil-son Pa-la-cio-os is the chant (to the same theme we did Berbatoss)

He played a blinder today, and what a shot he has on him as well! More of that please! Exactly what we've been needing.

I told you guys Palacios was a quality player...

He is on his way to becoming one of the best players in the EPL...

There is so much more talent in Honduras because nothing is handed to them...

They have to fight for a place in the team unlike many players from Mexico and other Latin American countries...

They don't play for fame and glamor they play to feed their family and that make them dangerously good...

if palacios could also pass the ball around and not lose it many times he would be probably the best defensive midfield player in the premier league.
