All for Rabiot, but his entourage can stay away. Thankfully we don't hear anything about entourages around Tottenham, at least since Benteleb left.

I feel like Poch and Levy will sign in January to get the player ready and up to the standard that he wants for the next season.
Just like we see with Moura
It's a more strategic method, rather than signing in the Summer

Unfortunately it has been reported he'll ask for £170k a week, which I imagine all but rules us out...

I don't know much about De Jong, but €80 million seems like crazy money for a player who has never played in a top league. If it means they won't pursue Eriksen, then I hope they go for it.

Surly we won’t sign anyone in January, I mean we have the exact same squad we started the season with, and that squad supposidaly couldn’t be improved on, so it stands to reason it still can’t be improved on, right?

I am iffy on Rabiot. I have a clear vision of Poch grabbing him by the neck in the training room and squeezing until his body goes limp. Not sure he's our kind of player. I do think he' spruce up the midfield quite a bit though. Tough call.

The Wilmar Barrios link has popped up again...outlets claiming we’ve agreed a deal worth 23 million for him for January

It's hard to get too excited about him, based on the WC. But I suppose international tournaments aren't the best way to judge a player. But it' hard to imagine one of our rivals going after a player who looks so limited on the ball.

I guess he could potentially be another Sandro, as he certainly isn't afraid to get stuck in and win the ball. Doesn't bode well for Wanyamma's future though.

I think those 2 ships have sailed unfortunately. Rabiot is struggling to negotiate a new deal with PSG, so I can't imagine he'll be too thrilled with the wages Levy will offer. N'Domblele was a a gamble we had to take in the summer, when we'd have had to put down a large sum to tempt Lyon. Now they'd want even more and all the richest clubs are circling.

The only big name I could see us having a slight chance with is De Jong, based on the fact Ajax players don't always want to got straight to the likes of Barca. Sometimes they like to go to a club with less status to develop in one of the top leagues. For example, I doubt Eriksen planned on still being with is now when he signed. The same is probably true of Jan. Sometimes these players come and start to really believe in the project.

I heard a great interview with Kevin Keegan last week, and he was of the opinion that the English team are missing that one class midfielder who can make the difference, and he emphatically said that player was Grealish .

Just because he said it doesn't make it true.

Of course. but Keegan said it convincingly and he is not the first person of influence to voice such a strong opinion about Grealish, I"m just pointing that out., I wont mention what Chrissy Waddle has said about Winks then lol.

I know little about Barrios, but let's hope he is better than he showed at the World Cup.

Yeah. I was thinking that this would be his agent's plan to get his name out there to attract interest from others

it was reported yesterday that the stadium loan has risen by £100m, so will we sign any players during the next two windows? In any event from what I saw of Barrios I am pleased that we will not be signing him.

just remember that his info is coming from the club so they're not going to commit to anything, especially with transfers. He and the others who report on Spurs will never come out towards the end of October and confirm (or not) that were signing player x

Don't believe the Barrios stories because why would we offer 20 mill when he has a 14.5 mil buy out clause? If we are in for him Levy is paying the buy out clause and that's it.

I’ve read a little about Dzeko being linked with West Ham, though Pellegrini says they aren’t interested. You have to wonder why, he’s been absolutely brilliant for Roma in Serie A and the Champions League, is proven in the Premier League, would dramatically improve their forward line (Could do the same for plenty of teams for that matter). Presumably the stumbling blocks would be that Roma would not want to lose him, so the fee would be significant and he’s probably pretty happy where he is right now.

We are being linked with Victor Tsyhankov. I've never heard of him, but apparently he's a Ukranian wonder kid, who plays in midfield and had an excellent scoring record. Let's be honest, we all like it when we are rumoured to be signing so called wonder kids, even if we know nothing about them. So I'm keen on this and expect everyone else will be.

Sounds like a winger. We don’t need a winger.
