    From SSN:

    "LLORIS REPLACEMENT?

Are Tottenham set to replace Hugo Lloris?

The France international has struggled for form this season and Voetbal International claim Spurs are preparing to move for a new goalkeeper, with Ajax’s Andre Onana, 22, their top target."

Not that I know anything at all about Onana, but should we not be grooming Gazzaniga to be the next No.1?

Whether Lloris is all that or not, it would be a stupid way to spend right now. It's the deepest position we have right now.

Everyone is pimping their own story for clicks. There was another saying we missed our chance to get the "perfect" Lloris replacement when we let Pau Lopez go when we could have gotten him for a mere 6M. Now he'll cost us 70M.

Then again, we do have a history of raiding/being linked to Ajax players, so why not their keeper? Next it'll be their waterboy.

We are being linked with Barella

Tottenham set to offer £35million to land Nicolo Barella dubbed the 'next Steven Gerrard' in January

HAdn't heard of him before, but watched him on Youtube today. You don't have to be much of a scout to see he's the real deal, so I don't hold out much hope for us signing him. He's one of those players that you can instantly see has the attributes to go to the very top. Very little talent spotting ability needed here. I'd imagine he's on the list of every top club in Europe.

Arnautovic wants a move to a club playing CL football. He's a bit older than our model normally looks for, but younger than Llorente. I like him.

Arnautovic is a force of nature. I just can't figure out whether he's a mug, or if he just looks like one. It could all just be an illusion. No question he'd give us strength up front. Outside of Kane we have none. Eriksen, Lucas, Son, Dele, Lamela all pretty light. If he's the right sort, I love his game.

Arnautovic is a waster and isnt good enough for a club in our position. Dont need to waste a squad place on him, poor attitude as well

My knowledge of his history in football is far from encyclopaedic, is this based on your impression of him on-field, reported behaviour off the field or a mixture of both?

I feel like he has kicked up a gear or two since joining West Ham and could improve even further playing alongside the right team mates. I think he has attributes that would make him very effective for Spurs, either as a foil for Kane or as an alternative/rotation player. If there are doubts around how he would apply himself that would be a different matter.

His attitude is poor, blaming the players around him for anything that doesn't go right, much like Alexis Sanchez, but also he is inconsistent - 1 good game then 2 bad ones.

Arnautovic wouldn't suit us at all. 29 with a chronic knee injury. Unlikely to buy into our system. Highly likely to cause a fuss when not starting every game.

Arnautovic's biggest problem is that he wears a West Ham shirt. He'll never get the stink of that thing off of him. Hard pass

Realistically, it looks like Fulham is going down. I'd get a deal done for Sess pending relegation and secure a proven CM. Seems simple.

Just to give you a heads up....if a source is going to cite a Spurs ITK twitter guy (who is actually a gooner if you scroll down to his summer bullshit) then there's absolutely nothing in this link

I have been in Rabiot's corner before, but I think he could be risky. It's the kind of signing that could definitely crash and burn. Poch will push him hard and I don't know if he has the mentality for that. Cold be a very expensive disaster. I trust tat Poch will make the right call, assuming we even have a shot at him.

Just based off of Moura's example I would assume he'd only play in the cups this season. Really any January signing will be in that boat.

If Rabiot were to sign in January (I’m going to put it down as a very big IF for now) I would think he’d be more likely to integrate more quickly than Lucas Moura did. I don’t think he would find it difficult to adapt to the PL style. Perhaps more significantly, though, is that he plays in an area where we’re experiencing some issues with injuries, whereas Moura was trying to get playing time against Alli, Eriksen, Son and Kane, who were pretty nailed down for the 2nd half of last season, if I recall correctly.
