never really seen him but heard alot about him. meant to be a top player- apparently one of the main reasons montpellier won the french title last season.

with the likes of lille, lyon, PSG, marseille etc hanging around montpellier winning the league (with him as one of their star players) is not to be sniffed at i suppose.

Last year he won Young Player of the Season title, which was won by Hazard 1 or 2 years prior. I wouldn't think twice if we got a chance to sign him.

But he does seem to have a dark side as it says in the article.

He just picked up a straight red against Lille. Haven't seen the situation though.

I'd prefer Belhanda than someone likes Eriksen. Guy is a star. Got better feet than Mousa and that's saying something. Joy to watch.

Belhanda is a quality player. I've seen him on more than a few occasions and his footwork can be dazzling at times.

He'd be a very good signing in my opinion, but he'll need to watch his temper in England as he's easily wound up and it'll be exploited over here.

This may just be me being foolishly optimistic, but I think thfcire might be right: Doesn't this seem like the classic Spurs move? Grab a player who is obviously top class but who for one reason or another isn't being sought by bigger clubs? (I'm thinking of Modric, Bale, and Dembele esp., but you could probably argue that Walker and Sandro also fit in this category.)

I'm always a bit skeptical of players from the french league, but for 10m and his age, I think it's a good option.

Nah, we've had better records with ex-Ligue 1 players, unlike a certain French team in London. Lloris, Benny and Kaboul to name a few.

WOW- i'm not sure if it's true but if the 'better feet than dembele" is anything to go by then that is some compliment.

dembele is arguably one of the most graceful players i've ever seen. hope we sign this guy.

Really?

Weird. I obviously don't see the grace in a fcuking tank.

Dembele is a beast though.

I have hahaha, he does have great feet.

But graceful is like, a ballet dancer or something.

Dembele is more like a Panzer tank.

I don't think we should sign this guy - every time I see this thread I think it says ' Bellender'.

Have to agree with Superyids, Dembele glides across the ground. Very graceful player.

We have to buy this player! i wrote this about him in the forum in the summer transfer window.
Belhanda is in my eyes, a great target. Arsenal made an enquiry, but Montpellier said they were going to offer Younès a new contract. A month has passed and he has still not signed a new contract. He is apparently on £15,000 a week & he is definitely a player we can afford. Trasfer fee estimated at £14M. Although, last season he played behind the striker, he scored 12 goals in 28 games & helped Montpellier claim their first-ever Ligue 1 title.

Montpellier this season are struggling to stay at the top, Belhanda has scored 6 goals in 14 games so far. Hopefully Montpellier want to cash in.
I would prefer this player over Moutinho. He scores goals and similar to the style of dembele. Would be awesome to see a trio of Belhanda, Dembele & Sandro.

I believe Louis Nicollin is ready to sell Belhanda because he's disappointed by the team this year. To summarize, he thinks some players like Belhanda want to play in bigger club and are less motivated.

However £14M it's a big transfer fee and I fear that Montpellier want a bigger transfer fee because after Giroud Belhanda was the best player and he is an "icon".

In fact, Belhanda is a good play maker, technical, with good vision and he can scores and to be decisive. Moreover, he is young and he has the "fighting spirit". Nevertheless, he is less athletic than Dembele(but more quicker...).

There is another interresting player in Montpellier : Remy Cabella. He was just amazing against Arsenal in CL. He's a little player with a big activity, very quick, very technical and he can put the last one assist easy. Very interresting player, there is no doubt.

I remember watching Cabella against Arsenal and i was very impressed. Good trickery, quick and not afraid to go past defenders. He looked like a real gem.

Yes he wanted to shine absolutely. ^^

I have forgotten Mapou Yanga Mbiwa or "Mapou" who is a good CB, international player (very good with France squad !). AC Milan wanted to recruit him...

He will be away for the new year at the African Cup of Nations, other than that I see no flaws.
