Great ITK….Benteke news

This is a great source for ITK. The Truth section always seem to get it right. Take a look through it’s history, they got a lot bang on through the January transfer window. Compiled by ex-Tabloid journalists.

Anyway, today they look in to claims from the Daily Mirror that we’ll be signing Benteke for £20m this summer.

And I qoute

Their basis for the move is Benteke’s agent Erik Kismet suggesting his client could move on at the end of the season
But the link to Benteke is only made in today’s paper because of Kismet’s quotes – which don’t allude to any buying club. This is adding 2+2 together and just making up an answer.


Thats is not ITK

They are experienced football journalists who left newspapers to work on this site to bring people the truth about transfer gossip. Take a look at the past Truths on that site, I followed them throughout January and they seemed to get everything spot on.

Still not ITK. They’re reading the same stuff we do and posting an opinion – in this case a blatantly obvious one. They might have gotten stuff right, but this post is not ITK.

Firstly, you don’t just follow them, you work for them as you stated yourself in this thread http://www.tottenhamhotspurs.tv/forum/players-lounge/30560-tottenhams-ultimate-legend.html. Secondly, to be considered ITK they must have some sources of info from inside the club, which they don’t, or at least they don’t claim to do.

I know some people get really excited by reading things like this. There’s nothing wrong with that I guess. On a personal level, I pay no attention to this kind of stuff. Even if AVB came out publically and said he wanted to sign Benteke, and then Benteke came out publically and said he would love to play for Spurs, and then Aston Villa came out publically and said, we’d love to sell him to Spurs, in fact, have him for can of pop and packet of crisps.. it still doesn’t mean it’s definitely going to happen.

When I see a player holding up the glorious lilywhite shirt, next to a grinning AVB, in front of a packed press core at a Levy conference special, THEN, and only THEN will I take notice.

Rumours and speculation.. even when they have foundation, too many things can happen that stop these things from actually happening.
