Saw on twitter that JD Sports has home and away kits for £35. Are these the same sold by spurs shop? Any suggestions on whether or not to purchase… £10 savings… Not sure if this was posted in the correct forum… any advice would be appreciated. thanks
JD Sports UK – SEARCH Where exactly did you see these on twitter? That link shows the childrens one’s for £30 which look real, but i would assume that it is correct.
Tottenham live tweeted it.. £35 – Tottenham home shirt / kit 2012-2013 there was a link below the image. I would rather support the club by buying it from them, but wasn’t sure if this was even a real replica (?). Seemed far below the price that UA would even sell them to other retailers. but what do i know…
if you have a memebrship there are often match days when they do a club shop 10% discount, so dont go putting money in Sports Direct (Newcastle – even if hes a Spurs supporter) , or JJB (Wigan) – just wait and dont be so disloyal – surely £3 extra is worth paying, but on match days itll pay for a pint, so worth taking !!
Stock sold by Sports Direct, JJB and JD Sports will all be legit stock, they just don’t mark it up as highly as Spurs Stores do. The stock will have been sourced from the same place, but Spurs charge more as they know people will buy from them under the premise of supporting the club. The club still gets a cut of the shirts being sold by other legit sources so buy yours wherever you want to, its not being disloyal in the slightest.
I was in JD earlier and the mens shirts were £35 but they didnt have my size might go for a change and get the training wear instead
I can tell u the club gets very very little from jerseys not sold direct I know was €2 a kit from the ones sold in JJB in Ireland last year.
Its a bit more than that in the UK usually, but still obviously not as much as they get from the Spurs store direct as they mark the price up by £10. If they get £3 for example from a £35 sale at JD, they get £13 from a £45 sale in a Spurs store. Still, its horses for courses. Personally I’d much rather have that extra tenner in my pocket than someone elses.
