Even if someone was thinking about loaning Ba, I’m sure it all changed after today’s Chelsea-Villa match, where he was so freakin awful.

We already have strikers who don’t understand the offside rule. No reason to try and get another one.

I can tell you he can bang a few goals for us, he’s a quality player, let’s hope Levy brings him in.

Demba Ba is good for teams like Newcastle, West Ham or Villa, not for top team. I think Soldado, Defoe and Adebayor are better than he

…in addition, he has chronic knee problems, it would be risky purchase

No fcukin thanks. I never thought it was possibly to find a striker who’s offside more than Adebayor but hey, that’s Demba Ba for you.

Would have been decent if we got Ba. but got good enough strikeforce.

I reckon this would have happened (on Loan) if offers for Ade were good enough.. or maybe the £3m loan fee was the reason. Chelsea take the piss. I’m happy with Ade staying though if he can get his head down and his finger out.

Was never a huge fan of his, and as much as people may want to dismiss it, his knee is still and always will be a concern. With the degenerative joints that he has…even if he hasn’t been injured for an extended period of time…he still has significantly more risk and liability of bowing out of play for extended periods due to his condition (compared to a healthy player).

Regardless, it seems as if the move was never going to happen. As ridiculous as I always felt about the notion….it well and truly does seems like Jose and Chelsea are hoarding talent in an attempt to inhibit competition. I hate to admit it, but yes, this might explain the Willian situation; I just find it hilarious and absurd that it also applied to Ba. I’m shocked Mourinho admitted to this….really comes off a bit pathetic; truly this incarnation of Mourinho’s reign seems like a shadow of his last one, I can’t seem him lasting long there.
